“Shit, Carla did nothing for me. My dick is dead, and my balls are hiding.” I drained my glass. “I don’t know what to do about her.”

Track looked sidelong at me. “Who, Madeline?”

“Yeah.”

“Well, what do you want?” Track watched me with a curious glint in his black eyes.

“Brother, I think you know what I want. Don’t make me say it.” The bastard always tried to get me to talk about my feelings. No dice. Feelings were for pussies.

“Then go after her.”

I shook my head. “I’m no good for her.”

“She’s a grown woman. Let her decide for herself.”

I slid my empty glass away from me. “I’m going up to bed.”

Track huffed in frustration. “Okay. If you wait too long, you just might lose her to another man.”

I grunted, stalking away.As if I don’t know what I stand to lose.

I had been waiting for over an hour for Madeline to run by this spot. Last week AJ reported her running through the park every morning. I hoped she hadn’t changed her route.

I needed to talk to her. To… Hell, I didn’t fuckin’ know what I would say or what I expected.

After seeing her at The Wild Hog Saturday night, I’d felt like I couldn’t breathe. Like she was getting farther and farther out of my reach. I didn’t know what the fuck was happening to me. I couldn’t even call her, because we’d never exchanged phone numbers. And I didn’t know her last name so I couldn’t hunt her down beyond AJ’s tips.

Sure, I could have gone to her house, but with the Dirty Hunters roaming around, I didn’t want them seeing the president of Knight’s Legion at her place.

My stomach tightened as a blur of yellow was heading my way. A jogger.

Holy. Hell.

Was it Madeline?

I squinted. The closer she got, the faster my heart hammered.

It was my Angel.

I perked up on my bike, debating whether to get off or stay put. Either way, she couldn’t miss me. As her pace slowed, I knew she’d spotted me. I’d been eyeing a bench near a tree and planned to ask her to sit with me. Damn, I hoped she’d say yes.

She pressed her fingers to the pulse point on her neck, her free hand on her hip. As she approached, I couldn’t see her gorgeous baby blues behind her dark sunglasses. I sensed she was annoyed by the way her lush lips were in a thin line.

“Morning, Angel.”

“Hey… What’re you doing here?” She stayed several feet back.

“Wanted to talk to you.”

“We have nothing to talk about.” She crossed her arms over her chest, looking tasty in spandex. Yellow sports bra trimmed in black and matching leggings with a black stripe down the side.

But the beads of sweat in her hairline and across her chest? Fuck, I was rock hard in less than sixty seconds. My cock wasn’t dead. It lived only for her.

“Sit with me.” I jerked my chin over to the bench.

“Don’t think so. If this is about the other night, get over it. I do as I damn well please.”

I swung my leg back, getting off my bike, and went to her. “Sit with me.” I took her hand. She jolted but didn’t pull away. Her heated body and the scent of her hair tortured my senses. My stomach tightened. I wanted her so damn much. The way her chest rose and fell, I ventured she wanted me too. We sat on the bench, but she kept a foot of space between us like I had the fuckin’ clap. Sassy little shit.
