“I don’t see the point in talking. You were loud and clear at the lake.”

“I wasn’t in a good place. I’ve got shit in my past, Angel, that haunts me. You deserve to be with someone better than me. Someone who isn’t the president of an MC.”

“I suppose you’re right. Lord knows I have a horrible track record with men. I guess I should thank you for saving me from myself.” She faced forward but I saw her rolling her eyes behind her sunglasses. “Why are you really here?”

Miss Attitude. Damn. She was not making this easy for me.

“Because I can’t stop thinking about you. I should’ve let you decide for yourself instead of making the decision for you.”

“Yeah, you should’ve. I’m a grown-ass woman, y’know.”

I couldn’t help but laugh. Madeline didn’t think it was so funny, though, and pursed her tempting lips together.

“Go to hell, Storm.” She was on her feet. I grabbed her just as fast, pulling her back. She landed right next to me, and I tucked her into my side. “I don’t want to do this with you.” I filled my hand with her thigh, holding her to me. Touching her screwed with my head. Made me weak.

“I’m sorry, Angel. I’m sorry for everything.” Just like that, I turned into a walking pussy. I never apologized for shit. If my brothers found out, they wouldn’t let me live it down.

“Fine. You’re sorry. Apology accepted. Now let me go.” She tried to move my hand. Not happening. “Let. Go.”

“No.” I kissed the side of her head. “Don’t want to.”

“Look.” She stopped struggling and faced me. So damn beautiful. “I’ve had a lot of time to think about… stuff. Let’s face the truth, Storm. You can’t give me what I want. So if you’re looking to just get between my legs, as tempting as it sounds, I’m not interested.”

Fuckin’ hell, her words slayed me.

“How do you know I can’t give you what you want?” I bit back, furious she was again rejecting me. For being the asshole who had walked away from her, I deserved it.

“Okay. You’re right. I don’t know.” She turned toward me, exhaling an exasperated breath. “So tell me, Storm, Mr. Biker President. Do you see marriage and children in your future? You up for cheering in the stands at your kid’s hockey games or playing tea party with your little girl? What about stringing up Christmas lights on the house?”

“Angel, I—”

She raised her hand. “Do you see yourself snuggling on the sofa with your wife? Or watching a chick-flick and holding her when she cries during the happy, sappy parts? Honestly, Storm, you don’t come across as the kind of guy who fits that mold.”

If her words didn’t slay me before, they just shredded me now. I scratched the back of my head, jaw tight. Nausea settled in my gut as I imagined her doing all those things with someone other than me.

“Madeline?”

We both turned toward a male voice. Fuck, it was the dude from the other night. The muscles in my neck coiled as he gazed at her fondly.

“Hi, Josh.” She stood.

“Where are you going?” I grabbed her hand.

“Seriously? Let go.” She jerked her hand out of mine.

I sat there like a dumb fuck as she chatted with Josh. They smiled and laughed. Madeline’s squeezable ass taunted me, along with her long braid. I wanted to wrap it around my hand, tugging it hard as I drove my cock into her warm pussy.

I fuckin’ needed to possess Madeline in every way possible and make her mine. Mine.

“Good seeing you, Josh.” She smiled and waved, and I wanted to throw up.

“Yeah, you too.” Josh nodded, eyes raking over her body as she waltzed back to me. The fucker. I should poke him in the goddamn eyes.

Madeline stepped between my legs, bent so she was eye level, and cupped my face. “Is he still watching me?”

I glanced at the prick and grunted, skimming my hands up the sides of her thighs. If she was going to be this close to me, I was going to touch her. The silkiness of the fabric allowed my hands to feel every curve. My mouth watered, desperate to have her, taste her… fuck her.

She sighed. “I’m not into him. So just go with this, so he’ll get the hint.”
