Madeline

I was thrilled Tara wasn’t home when I parked my car in our little driveway. Our single wide looked dark. Stupidly, I’d forgotten to leave a light on in the living room.

When I was with Dane, we always stayed at his place before I moved in with him. He didn’t care for my home because I lived in a trailer park and not in a real house—snobby jerk.

Honestly, I’d pushed for Storm to come home with me as a test. It was wrong, I shouldn’t have tested him, but Dane had made me skeptical of all men. The last thing I wanted was to have a repeat of the destructive-Dane-years.

I hadn’t been totally lying. Going to Storm’s clubhouse was intimidating. I needed to know more about his club and what they were about, first. If he hadn’t left me crying and cursing him in my hotel room, I would’ve asked him then.

Which brought me to tonight. What the hell just happened in the Walmart parking lot? I’d been prepared to leave the store with a big scary biker and drive away. Yes, I wasn’t looking forward to coming home to an empty, dark house. But I would’ve managed. Maybe.

That kiss, though. It was all on Storm. He initiated it. I was more than a little happy about it, too.

I wasn’t lying when I told him I missed him. It scared the crap out of me—having such strong feelings for a man I hardly knew. But there I was, inviting him home to have sex.

I’d truly lost my mind.

Storm parked his bike beside my car. My stomach fluttered and pussy tingled with excitement.

He opened my door, reaching in and tugging me out of the car. Storm stood so close my face smashed into his chest.

“Angel, it’s adorable how you adhere to the speed limit.”

“I break the rules sometimes.” I walked my fingers up his chest teasingly, burying them in his beard.

“Yeah? I’d like to hear about the rules you’ve broken.” He filled each of his hands with my ass cheeks, lifting me off the ground as if I weighed nothing more than a weightless piece of silk.

I laughed, hooking my legs around his waist and my arms around his neck. God, he was pretty to look at. Probably not what he’d like to be called, but he was pretty, and I could stare at him indefinitely.

Storm carried me to the front door. I unlocked it, opened and closed it, all perched from his muscly arms.

He paused at the door, as if listening for something. It took me only a second to realize he was making sure no one was in here.

“Down the hall, second door on the left.” I nipped at his neck, inhaling the scent of leather mixed with his natural musk. Intoxicating. “Do you want anything to drink?”

“Just want you, Angel.” He dropped me on the edge of my bed.

“Well, I’m a little thirsty. I’ll just grab a bottle of water from the fridge.” I stood and was pushed onto the mattress.

“I’ll get it.”

Okay then, Bossy Biker Prez.

Not sixty seconds later, Storm appeared with the water and a bottle of beer, setting them on the nightstand.

“Why don’t you shut the door, Prez?” I kicked off my boots, tossing them into the open, messy closet. I might’ve been embarrassed if the rest of my room wasn’t tidy. Mostly. Every drawer from the dresser to the nightstand was disheveled. I was more of an on-the-surface clean kind of girl.

“Don’t want your roomie to see us naked.” A devilish smirk appeared on his lips.

I waved him off. “She’s seen me naked plenty. I don’t want her to see you in your birthday suit. How’d you know I have a roommate?”

“I just know.” He winked, removing his cut and draping it carefully over the chair near the window. “She’s seen you naked plenty of times, aye? Does that mean you swing both ways?”

“If I did, would you have a problem with it?” I teased, watching for his reaction.

His dark eyebrows raised, and he smiled. “No problem at all. But if you’re with me, you’re only with me.” His black T-shirt came off next. I almost launched off the bed to lick every curve and dip of his rippled abs. The man was a sculpted masterpiece.
