“Zander!” I grabbed his arm before he threw another punch. “Stop!” I shoved him in the chest.

Oh my God, was he out of his mind?

Ire and Maddox ran over.

“I’m fine.” Track rubbed his jaw. “What’s it gonna be, brother?”

I moved between them, putting my back to Zander, and prepared for his rejection.

His arm wrapped around my chest. “You wanna be fucked, Jay? Let’s go to my room.” The rumble in his voice mixed with his hot breath on my ear made me clench.

The tequila on his breath was proof he’d drank a lot before I arrived. Was it wrong of me to have sex with him under these conditions? He’d walked away from me earlier, but now he was behaving like a possessive alpha hottie….alpha a-hole.

As much as I wanted to be fucked, and I desperately did, I wouldn’t go so easily. I needed to test Zander.

“Can Track join us?”

“What?” He tightened his hold on me.

“You’re drunk. Maybe you won’t be able to satisfy me.” I might be taking it too far. “Maybe you have no idea what’s going on. Then in the morning, you’ll regret being with me.”

“Fuck no. I won’t regret shit and you won’t be able to walk for days, Jay.” He grabbed my hand and led me upstairs.

At least he remembered my name, right?

Upon entering his room, he kicked the door closed and locked it. The only light was from a small lamp on his bedside table. I was on high alert, anxious, nervous, and aroused. We were finally going to cross the line. Only, this wasn’t how I imagined our first time, but then, I also never saw myself with a sexy-as-fuck biker.

Zander took off his cut and tossed it aside. The feral, hungry glint in his eyes made me tremble. Maybe this was a mistake of gargantuan proportions. He was intoxicated and angry. Could he be dangerous during sex? Violent?

Jesus, what the fuck had I done?

I backed away from him slowly. “Let’s talk, Zander.”

“Talk? Too late for that, Jay.”

“I don’t want it to be like this.” My hands shook at my sides, goose bumps covered my body. I wanted Zander more than I’d ever wanted any man, but this felt like I’d manipulated him. When I used to Track to make him jealous, I guess I had. I was hurt and angry seeing him with the kittens.

He moved toward me like a predator ready to pounce on his prey. “Like what?”

“You’re drunk. I’m hurt and pissed you were going to have sex with Amber and the other chick.”

He stopped a couple of feet away from me. My back hit the wall.

“I’m not drunk.”

“Yes, you are.”

“No, I’m not.”

“Bullshit.” I raised my hands out in front of me as a warning for him to stay put. “I made a mistake coming here tonight. Ire told me you needed me to save you from yourself.” Emotion bubbled in my throat, my vision blurring from traitorous tears. God, I cared for this man more than I realized. “Like an idiot, I came running only to find you with other women. You can have them. I don’t want you. Please move out of the way.” And my heart broke as the words left my quivering lips.

“No. I don’t want them, baby. I wouldn’t have slept with them.”

“Don’t you dare lie to me!” My tears fell unbidden. “You can lie to yourself all you want, but not to me, you son of a bitch!” I buried my face in my hands to hide my devastation. “If you care at all for me, let me leave.”

He removed my hands from my face and pinned them on either side of my head. “I’m sorry.” He pressed his forehead to mine. “I’m so fucking sorry. You’re the last person I ever wanted to hurt. It’s why I left you earlier.”

He remembered. Maybe he wasn’t as drunk as I thought.
