“Please, Bone. I’m so sorry, Prez. Please don’t kill me,” Doug begged. “We were just moonlighting, making a little dough while having fun.”

“I don’t give a fuck what you were doing! Tell me about Rosa!” Bone yelled and stabbed the knife into Doug’s thigh.

He didn’t scream as Wayne had. Doug fought through the pain.

“What do you know about Rosa Morrison?” Bone held the knife in place. “If I remove it, you’re as good as dead.”

“He told us the mafia princess was dead. We never saw her.”

I got to my feet and moved closer. Sweat beaded on Doug’s forehead. I wasn’t optimistic he’d give us the information we needed.

“Who ishe?” Bone asked.

“The kingpin.”

“Kingpin of what?” Cobra shouted, getting in his face.

“Faceless Frat,” Doug whimpered, showing he was weakening. “They turned us on to sex trafficking. Told us we didn’t need the pennies we made from the club. He challenged us to take control and start our own club.” Doug sobbed as if he knew he’d just sealed his death with his confession.

“Faceless Frat…” Bone repeated the words slowly. “Why do I feel like that should mean something?”

“Fuck! Are you talking about FF?” Cobra asked Doug.

“Yes.”

“Tell me everything!” Cobra grabbed him by the shirt collar. We’d already stripped them of their cuts. “Tell me why FF is on buildings!”

“They’re marking their territory. Planning to unleash attacks. They want to wipe out the Knights, and we were happy to help them distract you.” Doug jutted his chin defiantly, ready to accept his fate for betraying the club.

“You’re going down,” Bone roared, pulling out the knife. Blood squirted out. Before he could finish the job, Cobra swiped the blade out of his hands.

“You motherfucking traitor!” Cobra stabbed him in the heart over and over.

Shit just got a whole lot worse. There were dozens of buildings in Fargo with FF spray-painted on them.

“Enough, brother!” Bone pulled Cobra away. “He’s dead.”

“Let’s clean this shit up and get home.” Cobra heaved in air and threw the knife on the dirt. “Now we have an idea what FF is up to. Fuck,” he growled.

“I’ll get the acid.” We’d pour it on the bodies after dumping them in the graves. It speeded up the decomposing process, along with the manure. We were on private property. Unless the authorities came sniffing around, nobody would find the bodies.

“Karma isn’t gonna like going on lockdown,” Cobra muttered.

“She’ll do it if it means keeping Nova safe.” She’d already proved she’d do anything for her daughter. I admired her. “The farmhouse is big enough for the three of you.”

“You’re right. Might need to figure out a different solution now that I have a family.”

“At least you’re the only one,” Bone said. “I won’t ever bring a woman into this life.”

His words were exactly what I needed to hear.

Nurse Naughty was better off without me.

“I guess I better make a Costco run to stock the pantry.” Lady M knew the drill when it came to lockdowns. She’d experienced many throughout her thirty-six years of marriage to my dad.
