Page 67 of Until Him

“Don’t say that.”

“Make me.”

He turns his head and snaps my thumb between his teeth. For a second, pain radiates up my hand but then it’s replaced by heat as his tongue licks over my sensitive skin.

“Jesus, Theo,” I mutter, stepping a little closer to him. I want him to bite me all over. I still have the marks on my skin and I like it.

My dick does too. It’s ready to go again, straining toward him. It wants in his mouth, and other places.

But before anything fun can happen, the bedroom door opens, and Theo wrenches his head back and stands abruptly. He strides to the door and opens it, moving outside before I can stop him.

“You ready?” Landon asks, Finn at his side.

“Yep,” I say, tucking my sore thumb into my mouth and tasting him on my skin.

We pile into my car—Finn and Landon sitting in the back seat—as I drive us all to breakfast and then to the Mystery Spot. It’s some kind of gravitational anomaly in the middle of the redwoods that makes you feel like you’re in another dimension. You can walk from one end of the house to the other and feel like you’re getting taller. It’s fucking weird.

I know Theo will like it. With that big brain of his, I wonder if he’ll figure out what makes it this way. Well, maybe not. It’s not chemistry, but still, if anyone could figure this out, it would be him.

“You’re going to love this,” I say, as we hand over our tickets and begin the tour.

The guide is talking about angles and telling us that the farther up we go, the harder it will be to walk, and damn, he’s right. I haven’t been here in years and I’m feeling my heart rate increase.

Theo leans against the railing and runs a hand over his head.

“You gonna make it?” I ask, coming to a stop next to him.

I glance behind me and see Finn bending down so Landon can hop onto his back.

Hm, good idea, Finn.

“Wanna hop on, Theo?” I ask. “I work out for a reason.”

Theo huffs a laugh. “To carry my fat ass around?”

I eye said ass. “It’s not fat. It’s perfect.”

Theo flushes a little and then shakes his head. “No, I don’t need that, Logan. I can walk.”

I feel a little bummed that he isn’t climbing on my back, so I walk a little too close to him the rest of the way.

We all stand around as the tour guide gives his little spiel and does a little trick with a water bottle rolling uphill. He says it has to do with gravitational pull or some shit. Whatever that means.

“Do you know the secret of this place?” I ask softly in Theo’s ear.

“No, this is probably more physics related.”

“Hmm,” I say and then sway a little closer to him. I’ll blame it on gravity and angles. Can’t mess with the universe, Theo.

“I know what you’re doing,” Theo mutters, totally onto me, as I link my hand with his.

“It’s the gravitational pull. That guy says so. My hand can’t help itself. It’s drawn to you.”

Theo bites down on his bottom lip but doesn’t tug his hand away. Nope, he actually tightens his grip on me.

Yeah, Theo, you can blame it on the gravitational pull too. I know how it is. Your secret is safe with me.

When we finally walk into the shack, hand in hand, I notice how everyone is standing sideways, and so I just lean into Theo, putting my arm around him and walking around the space. Theo’s eyes are wide, and his brain is working overtime as he processes all of this.
