Page 43 of Loving Rush

"You've done all this?" Rush shook his head. "You're amazing." He had a look of shock on his incredibly handsome face.

"I've been very busy. I might need some kind of reward." I grinned at him, a sense of pride filling my veins.

"I think you deserve dinner and then…" He came forward and pulled me out of the chair. One hand ran along my thigh and up to my underwear. He brushed over my most sensitive spot. "I'll fuck you any way you want."

My insides tingled, and my core was instantly wet. "How about we do that first?"

TWENTY-ONE

A Discrepancy

RUSH

"I thinkJefferson is coming this afternoon to pick up Gladys. Did you add the extras to his bill?"

It had been two weeks since Lux's first day at the office, but the thrill of walking in and seeing Lux's beautiful face, and not Clint's ugly mug, hadn't grown old yet. Not even close. And I knew she never would. On top of that, and as an extra bonus, the office looked like an expert ran the place instead of an overgrown slob.

After the first day, I decided to keep things professional while Lux worked for me. That resolution had lasted all of eight hours. Even with our daily lovemaking, there was still a lot of sexual tension between us. Each time I had her intimately, it didn't quelch my desires but intensified them. I couldn't get enough of the blond slip of a woman with expressive eyes and an eager body.

"Yep, it's all ready to go. In fact, I emailed him a copy, so he didn't have any surprises when he came to pick her up."

"You've adapted quickly to calling bikes by their personal names. I like it" My eyes dropped to Lux's lips.

"Who am I to argue with a grown man's love of a motorbike." She grinned up at me.

Today she was wearing a silky black tank top with spaghetti straps and skinny jeans. The dark color made her skin stand out like luminous porcelain. Her fair hair shone porcelain, and she seemed to glow. A light sheen of sweat lined the hairline where she'd pulled her hair back into a ponytail.

I thought about wrapping it into my fist and tugging her head back while I kissed her neck and fucked her good.

Something of my thoughts must've shown in my eyes. "What do you want, Rush?" she asked and swallowed.

I struggled to speak, admiring her features. She didn't wear any makeup other than gloss on her lips. Yet she was the most beautiful woman I'd ever seen.

She frowned slightly and bit her lip. "Everything okay?" She placed her small hand over mine.

Shivers of need coursed through me. "Fine. Great. What about you? Are you alright?" I kept thinking at any moment, she'd realize just how far out of my league she was and disappear. Working to stay calm, I popped the key to Gladys on the hook we'd hung together on the office wall.We.I liked the ring of that word. I liked it a little too much.

"Mr. Jefferson called." She pulled on her ponytail slightly, which I was learning she did when she felt nervous. Something about the ponytail reminded her to be brave. I wish I understood it. "He said the service was much cheaper than last time and had we made a mistake."

I hesitated and met her eyes. "And you'd added on the extras." I was sure she did but had to ask anyway.

"Yeah. I was actually a bit embarrassed by how much it was, but he seemed to think we'd left something off." She cleared her throat.

"But we got everything listed?"

At my question, she sat up a little straighter. "Yes, I double-checked. And remember, I'm using that new invoicing software I installed."

I looked at the clean desk, the iMac that I'd put in a couple of days ago, so she could invoice people efficiently. The whole office gleamed and had a lovely smell from an air purifier she'd put in. A gift from her mother, I think. Strange. It had made Lux laugh, though, and I loved her laugh more than anything, except maybe when I went down on her, and she made that mewling sound.

Her expression wasn't combative, even though I was questioning her, but I sensed something else going on. "What is it?" I sat in the chair across the desk from her and waited.

She rubbed the tip of her nose with her palm. "I don't know whether to say anything."

"Well, you kind of have, so you may as well spit it out." A slight niggling began creeping up my spine. What had she found? In the back of my mind, I always doubted I could keep my shop open. That somehow, I would blow it and have to close the place.

She took a deep breath, and I tried hard not to look at her cleavage or the way her perky nipples clung to the material of her shirt.

"I dug out the old invoice, actually the last two invoices. Mr. Jefferson is a regular with his six-month services."
