Epilogue

Kincaid – (Eight Years Later)~

“Ugh, I’m so nervous,” she low-key squealed. “This is just so…so crazy.”

I smiled into the phone. “You got this, Rylee,” I assured her. “Besides, it’s not like Stone’s not going to be there with you."

She let out a ragged breath. “You’re right,” she quickly agreed, a little more confidence in her voice. “You’re right.”

“I can’t wait to hear all about it,” I told her honestly. “You know guys aren’t good about details.”

“First thing in the morning,” she promised.

“First thing,” I agreed. “I’ll talk to you then.”

“Okay, bye,” she squeaked.

Just as I was setting my phone on my nightstand, my husband walked into the room, and he looked better than I deserved. Eight years later, and he was aging with nothing but sex and sin dressing him from head to toe.

“Who was that?”

“Rylee,” I answered. “She’s nervous.”

Fox just smirked as he bent down to give me a kiss on my forehead. “It’s a big deal.”

Tonight was the night that the guys would be initiating the newest class of The Order of the Cronus, and with Rylee still the only Hera contract in existence, she was required to take part as a panel member. It was a big deal, and I was excited for them.

“You know, it doesn’t feel right without you, Sutton, and Hastings there,” he stated, and I understood what he meant. We’ve all remained so close that it was weird hanging back during something so important.

Just then, our three-year-old came running in the room, his aim perfect as he jumped on my lap. “Momma, guess what?” he asked, ignoring his father.

I looked at the mini-version of Fox, and asked, “What?”

“Josh’a was scared of the monster, so I went and saved him,” he boasted, none of it true. First of all, I had the baby monitor on, so if Joshua was really being attacked by monsters, I would have heard. Second of all, all the monsters in this house had been vanquished years ago.

“Did you get them all?” Fox asked him as he adjusted his tie in the mirror.

“Of course, I did,” Apollo snorted. “I’m a Harrington, don’t you know?”

I swallowed my laugh. “Well, Apollo does mean the god of sun and light, so those dark monsters don’t stand a chance against you, do they?”

His hazel eyes widened. “So, I’m special?”

I gathered him up in my arms. “More than you know, bud.”

When I looked up from my son, Fox was looking down at us with nothing but pure love on his face. “You know, Joshua is already one.”

“Fox Harrington, my body is going to fall apart if you keep this up,” I joked, but not really. Fox was determined to have some daughters, and he was not giving up. Especially, since Stone and Rylee already had one to go along with their son, and Saxton and Hastings just found out their pregnant with one after already having a son. Ross and Sutton were the only other couple that was plagued with only boys like us.

“I told you that I wanted a bunch of little girls,” he reminded me. “And I want them all to be as crazy as you.”

“Momma’s not crazy,” Apollo piped up, defending me. “I like Momma.”

“I like her, too,” Fox chuckled. “But don’t you want a little sister, Apollo? Wouldn’t a little sister be nice.”

Apollo snuggled back in my arms. “Okay,” he replied. “We can have a sister.”

Fox grinned down at me. “Looks like I win.”

“Don’t you have somewhere to be?” I pointed out.

He placed his hands over Apollo’s ears, then leaned down in my ear and said, “Yeah, inside your uterus.”

I started laughing, always thankful for all that was Fox Harrington.

The End.
