I nodded. “Yep, grabbed the last one on the shelf when I bought your tree.”
Faith took my wine glass and set it on the table before she climbed onto my lap. “I don’t have any money to pay for that, but would you take my heart as payment?”
I brushed back her hair. “Oh, yeah, I would most definitely take that.”
“Then it sounds like you have a deal,” she whispered against my lips.
“Let’s seal it with a kiss, what do you think?”
Faith pressed her lips to mine, and the two of us sighed as our bodies came together. It might have taken us a lot of time to get to this point, but we were here now, and I had a feeling that our future wishes were only going to get better.
