“Whoa! First off, I’m not sure if you noticed, but Ethan moved on. He told me before he left that he didn’t want anything to do with me. Second, I’m not sure I want to settle down and have a family.”
“Ethan said that because he was mad and trying to put distance between you. He’s not going to want that now. How far along are you?”
“Eight and a half weeks.”
“Riley.” Charlotte took my hand. “You need to tell Ethan.”
“How can I do that when he’s dealing with the loss of his mother? How can I tell him when he has another woman with him?”
“Huntley told me that Sam was flying back to Georgia today. She’s not here anymore. If those two were so close, do you think she would have left him?” Daniella asked. “God knows that if I cared about someone and they lost a parent, there is no way I would leave them. None of us would.”
“You need to go talk to him, Riley,” Roxy said.
“And say what? I’m sorry your mom died, but hey, guess what, we’re having a baby?”
They all looked at one another, and then Charlotte shrugged. “Well, yeah.”
