Today was our first regular season game, and I’m sitting outside on the back deck with a bottle of water that I wish were a beer. I try not to partake in alcohol during the season, not often anyway. Caleb and some of the guys went to a local club, but I opted to stay in. I blamed it on exhaustion. It was easy for him to believe. I have been dragging ass this week, but it has nothing to do with today’s game and everything to do with his little sister.

I can’t get her out of my fucking head. It’s been almost two more weeks of writing notes and stealing moments. She’s under my skin, and it’s fucking with me. I know she’s supposed to be off-limits. I understand that I could potentially lose my best friend over this, but I can’t seem to stop. I still sneak into her room and leave her notes, and when I find one in return, it sets my fucking soul on fire.

I want her.

It’s more than just me wanting her. I have this carnal need to be with her all the time. She’s all I think about, hence the reason I’ve not been sleeping. How am I supposed to sleep when I knowthere’s a damn good chance she’s locked behind her bedroom door, touching herself, thinking about me?

Me.

She’s sliding her fingers inside her pussy, wishing it were my cock. Reaching down, I adjust myself, getting hard just thinking about it. Who am I kidding? I stay hard. Just the thought of her gets me hard. And when my mind goesthere, to that night, well, my cock turns to granite. With each passing day, my control is slipping. I know that I need to decide. Either she’s mine, or I need to shut this down.

Luckily for me, I have the house to myself tonight. Joey went to the game with her best friend, Taylor and afterwards they decided to do some shopping and have dinner. She’s been gone for hours, yet I can still smell her. It doesn’t matter which room of the house I’m in. There is a constant reminder of her. Hell, even sitting out here reminds me of her. I can see us in the pool, her tight nipples pressing against my chest through the thin fabric of her bikini.

And then there are the notes. They get hotter and sexier, and they do nothing to quench my desire for her. Leaning over, I grab the small notebook and pen I brought out with me. Her latest note is lying loosely between the pages. Pulling it out, I use the light from the firepit to read it once again. Before I can get past the first line, the sliding glass door opens, and Joey steps out onto the deck.

“Hi,” she says shyly.

“Hi.” Placing her note back inside the notebook, I toss it to the ground, the pen going with it, and I move over. “Have a seat.” I tap the lounger next to me for her to sit. She kicks off her sandals and climbs next to me. I waste no time wrapping my arm around her and pulling her close.

“How was shopping?”

“Good. It’s been a while since Taylor and I just spent an entire day together.”

“Did you eat?”

“Yeah, we stopped on the way home.” She lifts her head to look at me. “Did you eat?”

“I had some leftovers from last night.”

“What did you do today?”

“After the game, I showered and took a nap.”

“I thought you were going with Caleb.”

“Nah. Not much on going out these days.”

“I’ve noticed. Is there a reason?”

“There’s this girl.”

“You’ve met someone?” There is a wobble in her voice. Surely, she knows I’m talking about her.

“Yeah, I’ve met someone,” I say, running my fingers through her hair.

“Do I know her?”

“She’s all sunshine.”

“Oh, a blonde then.”

“Nah, my girl’s a brunette with chocolate brown eyes. They sparkle when she’s happy or excited.” She doesn’t say anything to that, and that’s okay. I’m content to just hold her in my arms and stare up at the night sky. I know without a doubt this is better than anything Caleb and the guys are getting into.

My eyes grow heavy as the heat from her body seeps into mine. She’s finally where she belongs, and my body recognizes that. I need sleep. I’m just about there when a ringing phone has my eyes jolting awake.

“It’s mine,” she says, digging her phone out of her back pocket. I glance at the screen like the nosy bastard I am and see Caleb’s name. “Hello.”

“Joey, it’s me.” Caleb screams so loud I can hear him. “Sorry, it’s loud. Can you hear me?” he yells again.
