"I'll wrap both of these," she said. "If you're okay with it. That'll be fun for her to open."

Isaac made his selections quickly and was in and out of that jewelry store within fifteen minutes. He wanted to go back to the park, but he wasn't sure that he could stand there and watch Ari for that long without getting affected somehow. He decided to get something to drink at a nearby natural grocery store. He ordered a cup of coffee and walked around for a few minutes, getting a few things he wanted for the remainder of his trip. He picked up a box of protein bars, some canned coffee, and candy. It was a large store, and he wasted a few minutes walking around, but it wasn't long before he decided to go back to the video shoot.

He left the groceries and jewelry in the car and headed to the pavilion where they were shooting the video. Security was loose and people could approach as long as they didn’t try to go around the cameras and get in the shot.

Isaac stood back and watched them do three last takes of the same scene. He was glad he got to see Ari in her element, but he was torn because she was beautiful, and he honestly didn't want her to dance for anyone but him. Isaac knew those feelings were unreasonable, and he stifled them, telling himself that it was totally normal and wonderful for her to dance for all the world to see.

One of the guys in the rapper's entourage came up to Isaac and started a conversation, and Isaac spent the rest of the time being distracted by that.

Chapter 18

Ari Moreno

I made my way over to Isaac as quickly as I could. I felt terrible that I had been so busy today. I would be busy tomorrow as well, but Isaac was flying home in the morning, so it wouldn't matter as much. I did not want to think about that. I felt waves of dread when his pending absence entered my mind.

I had no idea whether or not it was possible to love someone when you hadn't been together all that long. But I knew in my heart that I already loved Isaac, and so I figured it must be possible. I walked directly over to him, smiling the whole time I approached. I went for a kiss without hesitation. I popped up and placed one on his mouth as soon as we intersected.

I hadn't been able to see him all day, and I was distracted and in a hurry when he came by an hour before. But my work was done, and it went well, and I could not wait to get to Isaac. It was for this reason that our kiss was sticky and we broke it reluctantly. He licked his lips, staring at me when he pulled back, and I leaned up and kissed him again. I felt his hand come around my back, and I got the chills and took an unsteady breath.

"I have to give back these clothes and shoes," I said. "I need three more minutes to get out of them and into my own stuff."

"That's fine," he said, smiling as he peered down at me.

"Thank you for being so patient. I'll be right back."

I turned and took off toward the wardrobe tent. I had never moved so fast in my life. Isaac had to fly back to Seattle in the morning, and I felt like I needed to be next to him every single second until then. I moved like the wind, undressing and redressing all while making plans with the girls for them to come by and get paid once I cashed the check from today.

It took around three minutes as promised, and I grabbed my stuff and headed back out to Isaac.

"Bye Shawn. Bye Danny. Thank y'all."

"Thank you, Ari," Danny said.

I just waved at them as I walked by. I didn't even stop to say more.

"Are you ready?" I asked, looking at Isaac. He nodded and we took off, walking together. He reached out for my hand, and I held onto his arm, leaning into him.

"I'm so sorry I had to stay over," I said.

"I'm not worried about it," he answered, looking at me as we walked. "You have glitter in your hair."

"And on my face," I added. "And now it's on you, and you'll pretty much find my glitter on you for the rest of your life. Glitter is a commitment. You're stuck with it. You'll go back to Seattle and find pieces of glitter on this jacket later. Remember this moment, and you'll know where it came from."

"What I'm trying to find in Seattle is the glitter bearer."

"What's a—oh, you mean me?"

"Yes, I do," he said.

"Isaac, can we stay up all night tonight? Can you make the trip on no sleep?"

"Yes, I can. I can sleep on the plane and then when I get home."

"I was being serious," I said, glancing at him.

"I was too," he said, nodding. "I really would do it, but you can't. You have to come back and do this again tomorrow. You can't dance like that with no sleep."

I held onto his arm. "I don't want to miss a second with you," I said.
