"Good. I'm glad. They look great on you."

I turned, shifting so that I could face him more fully. When I did, my knee came onto the couch and brushed his leg. He glanced down at it before looking at me again with an amused smile.

"And I'm fine with doing whatever you want to do," I said.

Alec capitalized on that moment and he leaned in and kissed me. He did it quickly, ducking and placing a quick but soft kiss directly on my mouth before pulling back with a smile. My senses were on edge, and I stared at him feeling speechless and breathless.

"You said you were fine with whatever," he explained.

"I meant with staying here or going to your aunt's for lunch."

"Oh, I'm sorry."

"No, it… That was fine."

"Oh, it was?" Alec stared at me, looking me over confidently. "You're daring me right now."

I smiled. "Daring you to do what?" I asked.

"You just said you weren't sorry that I kissed you, and now you're looking at me like you want me to do it again, and that's daring me, basically."
