“Agreed.”

Laughing, he ran his nose along her cheek. “I was going to take it slow, but you feel too perfect, so hold on. Let’s see what the view looks like from the milky way.”

“To the moon, Teague.” Moving her hands to his arms, she held on as his powerful thrusts sent ripples through her body. Experiencing an onslaught of intense pleasure, he drove himself into her body, sending shards of unbearable joy.

Another orgasm glimmered on the horizon, so bright and sharp it left her breathless. “How do you do it?” He slowed and let his tight grip on her ass loosen. “I didn’t mean for you to stop.”

Huffing out a breath, he pressed his forehead to hers. “Everything good?”

“Out of this world, amazingly perfect.”

“Thank God.”

“Don’t stop.”

He snorted a laugh. “Wasn’t planning on it.”

He flipped her over in one motion, and suddenly she was on top. “What are you…”

“Take what you need.” Gripping her hair, he grinned. “Ride me, and I’ll fuck you through your orgasm.”

She gripped his face, pressed their mouths together, and lifted her hips, moving against him.

He answered every one of her thrusts with his own, as an orgasm was ripped from her body. She lifted her mouth away and let out a moan.

“Come on, Tancy. Howl if you want to. Let everyone know how good we are together.”

Dropping her head, she felt his hips meet hers and stilled. “I love you.”

“I love you more.” His thrusts changed, the rhythm shifted, and the shudders of pleasure were almost enough to make her black out. His grip tightened on her hips, and the sounds coming out of him were guttural and animalistic.

He came with a roar as her name broke from his lips. “I will destroy anything or anyone who threatens what we have.”

She met his gaze, the world exploded, and they came together.

Turns out, the moon was more beautiful than she’d ever imagined.

TWENTY-SIX

One day you will have someone in your life who knows your birthday, middle name, where you were born, how old you were when you climbed your first tree, and if you got along with your parents. This person will also be familiar with your list of phobias, greatest triumphs, and most humiliating failures. They will know it all. And if you’re fortunate, they will love you because of it or even despite it.

Teague knew without a shadow of a doubt that Francis Marigold Foster loved him with her whole incredible heart. By some miracle, they had found something that worked and not only held each other’s weaknesses but also their strengths.

“Is it here yet?”

Pulled out of his musing, Teague strode toward the front door and opened it. “No. It shouldn’t be long, though.”

“I’m dying,” Tancy announced as she joined him at the door. “I will expire before my surprise is here and make whatever is about to arrive an orphan.”

“Why are you so confident it’s a living thing? I could’ve ordered more Easter decorations.”

Tancy pushed through the screen door and waved her hand toward their yards. “We couldn’t fit one more thing.”

He joined her on the porch and admired their efforts. By anyone’s standards, it was an over-the-top celebration of Spring. Both of their walkways were lined with large, brightly colored eggs and bunnies in every color. Tancy’s porch featured life-sized carrots that he’d made out of scrap wood, as well as a few baby chicks. It was cuteness overload, and he didn’t know if he should be embarrassed or proud that he was the one that came up with the idea.

“Unless…”

“No, you’re right. We have hit the perfect balance and don’t want to be compared to the Norris family on the next street.”
