She takes in everything I’m saying, but there is one more important part of this she might not agree with.

“One more thing, it won’t just be the strip club you’ll be working. You’ll also be required to put in time at the clubhouse with the men. Now, I’m not saying they will force themselves on you or anything like that. If there is something you don’t want to do, don’t do it. A few girls have issues with sleeping with married men, that’s where they draw the line, others have no issues with it.”

She chews her bottom lip. “And if I don’t want to sleep with anyone?”

“Then you’ll help a prospect behind the bar, or clean up and cooking.” With Hangman’s new rules happening within the club, I’m happy to tell her she has choices.

“This just seems too good to be true.”

I laugh slightly at that and we walk out of the office together. The place is still pretty dead, but that will change soon. I wave at Gunner as I walk past him and he gives me a nod and follows behind me. Even though it’s day time we still don’t allow any woman to walk out of here on their own.

“I’m going with Marisa here to her place and helping her settle in at the apartment.” I tell him as he gets close to my back.

“Oh, I took the bus here.” Marisa says shyly.

“That’s okay, I have a ride for us both. Do you at least have your licence?”

“Yes, I got that when I was sixteen.”

“Good, then the club will make sure you have a car by the weekend. It won’t be something fancy, just something to get you from point a to point b.”

“After I help Marisa get settled in I’m just going to go home, the other ladies never showed up for their interviews.”

“Got it, I’ll follow behind, Dirty is taking over watching for now.” I’m sure he is, he’s most likely nailing everything with a pulse in there.

I love days like this, not busy, and meeting new people. I’m sure Marisa will be a great asset to the club.

Chapter thirteen

Rage

Picking up my kidswas easier than I thought it’d be. Kyla was the only one with any real issue. Having Weston, Kara, Kyle, and Nick in my truck, I realize I’m gonna need a bigger vehicle, or at least a second one. Or maybe I’ll just buy a seven-seater SUV for Jennifer and she can cart the kids around.

“You all happy?” I ask them as I pull into the driveway.

“Yes, daddy,” Little Kara says excitedly. “We’re so happy to have momma Jen with us.”
