Archer moves the tip of the knife from my jaw down my neck.

“There is something I need from you tonight,” he says.

“And what’s that, Archer? Thirsty for me again?”

I catch him smirking for a second.

Then he moves his hand from my back and points to the guitar again.

“I couldn’t hear you,” he says.

“You keep saying that.”

“I want to hear you, sweet thing.”

“What?”

“I want to hear you, Jaci.”

“So you’re going to hold a knife to me and make me play guitar for you?” I ask.

I almost want to laugh. I kind of want to cry.

Archer curls his lip.“That’s exactly what I fucking want right now, sweet thing.”

Chapter 47

“Are you going to break this guitar?” I ask as I take the guitar out of the case.

“I might,” Archer says in a cold voice.

I really do hate myself because of the way he turns me on.

But I keep telling myself there’s more to Archer than meets the eye.

He’s supposed to be anHeir.

He’s supposed to be living in the same house with Cullen.

Which is hard to imagine.

Archer chose to become aSavage.

For the sole purpose of avenging his uncle’s death.

Which just so happens to involve me.

It’s a lot to think about.

Especially on a cold October night when I just want to get back to the dorm and see Maz and Birdie. I’m envisioning a hot cup of tea and maybe popping one morezazajust for fun.

Then some serious sleep.

Sleep induced by thezazabecause what I really need to get some good sleep is nothing but trouble.

I need attention.

Cullen is strong and subtle, waiting to take me like only a gentleman would.
