Rosa is a drug dealer.

She’s lives far from a normal life.

Just like everyone atDSC.

I swallow hard.

“I’m making you uncomfortable, aren’t I?” Rosa asks.

“I feel like I’m stepping in it hard right now.”

“Well, you are. Just ask the question.”

“Are you a stripper, Rosa?”

“No,” she says. “Was that so hard?”

“More than it should have been,” I say.

Rosa stands up. “Let me know if you need anything. And I promise, I’m not as much of a cunt as I acted like just now.”

“You’re far from it, Rosa. I’m just going through a lot.”

“I bet you are,” she says. “If you ever need anything, you know where to find me.”

Rosa turns and walks out of the coffeeshop, then disappears around the building.

She’s gone.

I’m alone.

I stare at my coffee.

I don’t even know why I’m here.

Trying to avoid Cullen and Archer?

I’m definitely avoiding going to any and all classes.

I stand up and take my coffee outside.

It’s a perfect day outside.

It’s cold. Crisp.

The allure and fun of Halloween is gone.

There’s a sense of Thanksgiving and Christmas in the air.

Which makes me think of family.

Something I don’t have.

Or, better yet, something I don’t know about.

I do have a family.

I wonder if my family gets together for these holidays.
