Then I let him go and walk toward the door.

“Move,” I say.
“Get on your knees and make me,” he replies.

He laughs and steps away from the door. “You’re running right back to him, huh?”
“I’ve got no choice now,” I say. “He’s saving my ass when it comes to passing my classes. So if you want to flirt with me, fuck me and threaten to kill me, you need Seth to keep my grades up. How does that make you feel?”
All emotion leaves Archer’s face.
Behind him, Cullen chuckles.
I wonder if Archer is going to throw a punch at Cullen.
Honestly… I don’t think I give a fuck.

Istare at the ceiling in my bedroom, then roll to my side.
Seth sits up in my bed, his hands behind his back.
He’s just an outlaw gem.
Dirty and sexy at the same time.
“You gonna answer me?” he asks.
“I’m thinking,” I say. “I hate all of this.”
“Put it at street level, Jaci,” he says. “Don’t think like a textbook. Be real for a second.”
“Okay. Let’s make it out to be candy.”
“Perfect,” he says.
“Theory would suggest that if too many people were selling the same candy, the price would be driven down.”
“Why is that?”
“Too much available compared to customers.”
“What else?”
“Those selling the candy would have to compete harder and better,” I say. “That would include discounts on the candy. Special deals. There’s a lot more to it than just wanting to sell candy.”
“Right,” Seth says. “Now you’re thinking the right way. Think deeper though, Jaci. What’s the issue?”
“I already said it. There’s too many people selling the candy.”
“So what happens next?”
