Part of me wonders if my life was actually easier handcuffed to Seth’s bed in the basement of his grandmother’s house.

That’s a ridiculous thought.

I know who the real Seth is.

And who the Vossenax family is and what they do.

It makes me really wonder about Seth, Cullen and Archer.

Seth’s family isn’t mafia but they sure as hell act like it.

Big, mean bikers with leather jackets and not an ounce of fear of going to prison.

I’m sure there’s a connection there.

Bikers and mafia?

Is this really my life?

Says the girl who grew up in a house with a stripper…

I think of Fay and I frown.

I miss Fay.

I miss the old Fay.

The real Fay.

I take a deep breath.

The office door opens.

I turn my head and Dean Tahg walks into the office.

“I’m sorry for that,” he says. “I don’t like keeping anyone waiting.”

“I guess I have nothing else to do right now,” I say. “I wasn’t allowed into class.”

“Right,” Dean Tahg says.

He walks around his desk and slowly sits down.

He folds his hands.

We sit in silence.

I’m not sure what he expects from me right now.

“You’ve fallen behind on your studies,” Dean Tahg says.

“Not all that much,” I say.

“Very much,” he says. “Even before your…temporary hiatus…”

Temporary hiatus.

Now that’s a fucking awesome way of sayingkidnapping.
