Iopen a door and find Archer, Cullen, and Seth sitting at a table together.
“Just walking away from me?” I ask. “Trying to push me away? Keep me in the dark? Are you all fucking insane?”
“We’re just doing what needs to be done,” Cullen says. “Don’t get upset.”
Seth laughs. “You just told Jaci Ruby not to get upset.”
I glance at Archer.
He’s quiet. Stoic. Powerful. Deadly.
“I’m not playing this game anymore with you three,” I say. “I’m not going to be left out of conversations and decisions. At least not with whatever is going on right now.”
“What is going on right now, sweet thing?” Archer asks.
“Well, let me say it out loud,” I say.
I’m not sure why I do it, but I climb up on the table.
Maybe because I want to be taller than them all.
I want to show my power and my dominance.
Love me, fuck me, kill me… whatever you all want…
I swallow hard, realizing that’s what they want.
In that order.
Cullen wants to love me. Seth wants to fuck me. Archer wants to kill me.
I’m attracted to all three and all their reasons.
I’m standing on the table.
They’re all looking at me.
“Fuck this,” I say. “I don’t have to say a fucking word to you three. You know what’s going on. You know more than me.”
