He takes one step and I grab his shirt again. “What is wrong with you? This isn’t a game. This isn’t a joke. And even if you want to be aSavage, you don’t sleep here.”
“Where do you sleep, Jaci?” Seth asks with a smirk.
“I sleep wherever I want. I make my own rules. I’m anHeir.”
“Does that mean you have power over me?” Seth whispers.
“Technically it does.”
“So if you told me to get on my knees in front of you, I’d have to do it?”
“Yes.”
“What if I decided to take control then?” Seth asks. “If I’m on my knees in front of you, Jaci, I’m letting my tongue do all the work from there.”
“I think the point has been made,” Archer says.
He is now at my side.

Cullen appears again. “You two. Come with me for a second.”
He points to Archer and Seth.
“Kiss goodbye?” Seth whispers.
I show off my left middle finger.
Seth laughs.
Archer is silent as he walks toward Cullen.
But he does look back at me.
Cullen is super focused on whatever Seth knows.
But for Archer, his sole focus is on me.
I can see it in his eyes.
I can feel it.
Maybe it’s because he knows he has to kill me.
Or maybe there’s something more to it.
All three guys vanish and I stand in the foyer alone.
It’s the first time in a while I feel like I can take a deep breath.
