“Not right now, Amber. We’re in the middle of something.”

She blushed and turned toward the preacher.

“Sorry, this isn’t at all how it went during rehearsals.”

He chuckled and said it was okay. He had a bit of water in his eyes as well. No one could meet Amber, feel her spirit, and not be entangled in it. She was home. It didn’t matter where we were, Amber was the rock that held the family together, that held me together. I never wanted to go another day without her and now, I would never have to.

We repeated the words that had been spoken so many times in history, the same words that I had said so long ago. I was surrounded by people I loved, and it couldn’t have been any better.

Well, not until the last part, when I finally got to kiss her. The only thing that wasn’t perfect was the fact that I had to pull away. I didn’t want to, but I had to let her go for a moment.

We were pronounced married, husband and wife, and I couldn’t have been happier. As we were walking down the aisle, cheers all around us, Amber had a surprise of her own.

“I was going to wait to tell you later, but since you surprised me, it’s my turn.”

“Oh yeah?”

I thought it would be something sexy. Not what came next.

“Yeah. I’m pregnant again. We’re going to have another baby.”

Shocked, but delighted, we stopped midway out of there, just to kiss again. I couldn’t keep my hands off of her, which was probably why we were having another baby. I couldn’t stand it; I was so happy I thought I would burst.
