“Brad is no one. A coworker. We’re up for the same promotion.” Dani made a face. “Just saying his name makes me want to punch him.”

“Oh, so youdolike him,” Viv said with a chuckle.

“What? No!” Dani protested, her pink cheeks betraying her. “Besides, I am actually seeing someone.”

“Really?” Felicity said, clearly surprised.

“Yeah. Maybe we’ll even be at your party this weekend.”

Viv turned to Felicity. “There’s a party this weekend?”

“Yes, I was going to text you about it, but then I figured I’d be seeing you today, and I could ask you in person. Something small, nothing too crazy. You should bring Aidan.”

“Okay,” Viv said when their waiter returned, unsure if Aidan would be up for partying with a bunch of Italians in a place where he couldn’t guarantee her safety. “I’ll ask him if he’s free.”

“So,” Dani said once the waiter left with their order. “How’s married life? What’s it like living in a real-life mansion? Is it as intimidating on the inside as it is on the outside?”

“Glenmore House is beautiful, but, yeah, intimidating is a good word for it,” Viv admitted. “It’s like living inside history. Plus, there are always people there. Always. Everywhere.”

“Isn’t it just the three couples?”

“And live-in staff.”

“Dear God,” Felicity sighed. “Live-in staff. Color me officially jealous.”

“Are you planning on living there indefinitely?” Alex wondered. “It’s really Declan’s house, isn’t it?”

“Technically, yes, it belongs to the heir, but…” Viv shrugged. “We haven’t really talked about moving anywhere else.”

“You haven’t?”

“We haven’t really been married that long.”

“I guess that’s true,” Alex conceded. “Seems like longer.”

“Now it's time for the good stuff,” Felicity said, eyes bright with interest. “How’s the sex?”

“Jesus, Felicity,” Dani said with a laugh while Viv choked on her water. “Not exactly subtle, are you?”

“Oh, please. Like you two weren’t both wondering the same thing. You have had sex, right?”

“Yes,” Viv said, clearing her throat. “We’ve had plenty of sex.”

“And?”

Viv leaned back with a grin when the waiter set a salad in front of her. “And I am not complaining.”

“I knew it!” Dani said, punching her finger in the air. “The man was practically made for it.”

“And he's had a lot of practice. Sorry,” Felicity added when she saw Viv wince.

“You two are making her uncomfortable,” Alex said, flicking a disapproving frown at Dani and Felicity. “Someone change the subject.”

“Can’t,” Felicity said, glancing at the door. “The subject is walking this way.”

Viv looked up to see Aidan making his way toward them. His gaze caught on her before he smiled in a way that warmed her down to her toes. He leaned down to press a quick kiss to her lips before turning to the table.

“Ladies.” He rested a hand on the back of her chair. “When you said you were having lunch today, I didn't know you'd be coming to Breá.”
