Rider detailed the conversation the best he could. “He will use his resources to find us a lab to test the coffee beans.”

Grayson nodded to the bag. “Eat up before it gets cold.” When he looked over at the table, Grayson chuckled. “I’ll get the other chair.”

“Thanks.”

As soon as Grayson stepped out, Rider faced Paris. “Did he mention anything about us being together last night?”

“Relax. He thinks it’s great.”

That surprised him. “I thought the two of you were a pair.”

“If you thought that then you shouldn’t have given in to my seduction.”

How true. “Did Grayson ask how you ended up in bed with me at least?”

“He did, and I told him about the nightmare.”

“Does he have insight about it?”

“Just that the combination of the cocaine mixed with the fact I’d finally met my dad probably triggered issues in my subconscious.”

“Grayson always was the smarter of the two of us.”

She shook her head. “I’m betting you are just as smart.”

“Perhaps.” He appreciated her vote of confidence.

“Have your hacker friends called back?”

“Not yet, though I imagine they will soon.”

“Do you think they’ll be able to tell you if the man works at a cocaine factory?” she asked.

Rider chuckled. “Mick’s group is good, but not that good. If they are in the mood to really hack into bank records, they might learn who pays the guy, but I suspect your dad would use a different name for any illegal activity.”

“I’m sure you’re right.”

Grayson returned with the missing chair. “Here you go.”

Rider moved over to the table and opened the Styrofoam To-Go box. Inside were scrambled eggs, bacon, and an English Muffin. Paris had placed the coffee on the table. He looked up and smiled. “This looks great.”

“It is.” She sat across from him.

No sooner had he finished his meal when his cell rang. “It’s Mick.” He answered. “Hey, can I put you on speaker?”

“Sure.”

“What did you find?”

“The home belongs to Sergio and Maria Gonzalez.”

Rider motioned that Greyson record the call. “Any idea where either of them work?”

“Mrs. Gonzalez is a secretary at a law firm.”

“And her husband?”

“Sorry. We couldn’t find any employment record for the last two years.”
