His eyes went wide and he muffled his laughter with his hand. “No shit?”

“It’s not funny. I was supposed to cover your wedding too. It was going to save our company.”

His smile faded. “I’m sorry, Josie. I had no idea.”

I looked him up and down, and frowned. “Apparently, neither did I.”

“I really am sorry. Melanie’s family planned the whole wedding, so I had no idea what was going on most of the time. I was just expected to show up.”

I snorted. “Well, you buggered that up.”

Grayson burst out laughing and nodded. “Yeah, I guess I did.”

“So now I’m here covering this wedding, because Sabrina is paying a shit load of money to steal your fiancé’s thunder.”

“Ex-fiancé.”

I waved him off. “Whatever.”

Grayson smirked at the empty bridal table, clearly amused. “She never did like Mel. They’ve been rivals since college.”

I lowered my eyes and fiddled with my camera. “So, are the rumours true?” I asked, peeking up to see his reaction.

He chortled. “Which one? I’ve heard a fair few.”

“Were you really with another woman in Vegas?”

“Yes,” he answered, blatantly.

My heart sank. I thought he was a better man than that. “Was it at that club we went to?”

Grayson leant back into his chair, crossed his arms, and nodded.

My nose crinkled. “Hang on, how did you manage to…I mean, weren’t you with me the whole night? When did you…” My mouth fell open. “Oh no.”

He smirked as he watched me piece everything together.

I swallowed down the lump forming in my throat. “I’m her, aren’t I?”

“You mean…the other woman? The home wrecker?” He laughed, clearly unfazed by the gossip.

“Oh my god, please stop.” I squeezed my eyes shut.

Grayson laid his arm across the back of my chair. “Come on, it’s no big deal. Nothing happened and we both know it.”

We stared at each other for a moment, silently challenging whether or not that was the real truth.

I pulled my gaze away from his, needing to change the subject. “So, how do you know Hank and Sabrina?”

“Hank and I went to high school together. College too. That’s where he met Sabrina.”

“Wait a minute, you said it was a joint bachelor party. Was he the other one?”

He nodded with a chuckle. “I got back to my hotel the next morning and found the poor guy passed out naked in the elevator, sporting a fresh tattoo on his right butt cheek.”

I gasped. “What happened?”

Grayson shifted his chair closer and whispered. “Well, you know how I left them at the strip club that night? Well, one of the girls was extra attentive, and after she slipped a little something in his drink, he was convinced he was in love with her.”
