After stroking myself a few more times, I reach into my desk drawer and remove a foil packet from the box of condoms I've kept stocked for weeks.

After covering myself in latex, I line myself up with her glistening pussy and fill her with one thrust. A moan spills from her lips.

I know I'm a good lay, but it drives me crazy how much she fucking exaggerates as if it’s going to impress me.

Gripping onto her hips firmly, I slam into her, pulling her back by her hips to match me thrust for thrust.

"Oh, Eli!" she cries, reaching a hand between her legs to begin rubbing her clit.

The door creaks open, and in walks the one person I never ever expected to see again.

To keep my jaw from falling to the floor, I clench it closed, grinding my teeth. My cock throbs at the sight of those blue eyes, and poor Elena thinks it's because of her.

Tate holds my gaze and has the fucking audacity to look hurt by the sight in front of her.

Fuck that. Fuck her.

She’s been alive the entire time, and has been hiding who the fuck knows where.

I lost my brothers because of her.

My eyes are glued to her as she walks further into my office. She goes to the bar to make herself a drink, then takes a seat on the couch. Meanwhile, my eyes never once falter from her gaze.

Groaning, I take a step away from Elena, rubbing my eyes that are playing tricks on me.

My chest aches at the sight of her, guilt instantly consuming me.

What the fuck is up with that?

Shaking my head, I press the heels of my hands into my eyes and scrub until I see stars.

"Get out!" Elena gasps in horror when she sees Tate in the room.

I blink the stars away, my eyes once again landing on the little hellion sitting on my couch, sipping my scotch.

"Get out," I rasp, pulling the condom off my dick and tossing it into the trash.

"Yeah, you heard him. Get out!" Elena squeals, pulling her dress down to cover herself.

Looking at Elena, I say, "I was talking toyou." Her eyes widen in surprise, not expecting that from me. Embarrassed, she hightails it out of my office without looking back, and the door slams shut behind her.

"I see you moved on quickly."

"Tell me I'm fucking dreaming."

Tate rolls her eyes. "Wow, I haven't heard that before." She shakes her head. "Same reaction I've gotten from your brothers."

"What?" I snap, "King and Rowen know you're alive? How?" I demand, buckling my belt.

"Are you really going to pretend like you didn't know?" She leans forward, sets the tumbler of scotch on the coffee table, and stands. "You've always been a great liar." She walks toward me, eyes locked with mine. "All those nights we've shared. All those kisses, all your whispered promises. They were all lies. You fucking turned on me in the blink of an eye."

"No, I didn't know. I don't know if you're aware or not, but my brothers aren't exactly speaking to me lately," I say, earning yet another fucking eye roll from her. I swear to God, next time she rolls her eyes, I hope they get fucking stuck. "And I never lied to you. I simply made a bad call."

"That's what you call turning on me, then leaving me for dead? A bad call?" She keeps walking until we're standing toe-to-toe. "You're unbelievable, Eli."

My hands ball into fists at my sides. "You're not surprised to see me," she points out. "You knew I was alive."

I'm not going to lie. Not to her. "I didn't know for sure, but I had my suspicions recently."
