KING

“Hi, butterfly,”I whisper, poking my head in the doorway of Olivia’s room, smiling when I see Lee lying on the bed beside Olivia, one hand stroking her silk strands of blonde hair while the other holds a book. My butterfly is in here every night, reading a story to Olivia, staying with her until she falls asleep.

Olivia started school two weeks ago, and as we all suspected, she’s been coming out of her shell more. She also goes to therapy twice a week, and I think having someone else to talk to has been good for her. She’s still upset about Rachel’s passing, but she’s beginning to open up and trust us.

I love it.

She doesn’t talk about her death with us. She saves that for therapy, but she talks about the good memories she has.

Lee’s eyes meet mine, a smile spreading across her delicious mouth. “Hey.”

“Hi, King.” Olivia sits up, tucking her hair behind her ears.

“Hi, princess.” I walk into the room and sit at the foot of the bed.

“How was school?” I ask.

She gives me a sour look. “I hate Riot. He’s really mean to me.” She rubs the side of her head. “He pulled my hair today and stole my ribbon.”

My eyebrows pull together in a scowl. “He’s being mean to you?”

She nods innocently, falling back onto her pillow dramatically. “He said my hair looked stupid, then he pushed me on the ground, pulled my pigtail, and tore out my ribbon.”

“I’ll talk to his dad and make sure he doesn’t bother you again.”

“Next time he hits you, I want you to hit him back,” Lee says, slapping the book closed and setting it on the nightstand table.

“I don’t think hitting is very nice,” I say, looking from Olivia to Lee.

“I do. I’m not going to have her stand around and take it. If he wants to be a bully, she must learn to fight back,” she says, standing. “The world is full of bullies, and you can either be a victim or fight back.” I get the feeling her words have more to do with herself than Olivia getting picked on.

“You know what…” Olivia sits back up. “I think you’re right. Can someone teach me to punch?” she asks, balling her small hands into fists.

“Sure, princess. Go practice punching Eli. He’s a bully sometimes,” I say, winking. She laughs, climbs to her knees, then wraps her arms around my neck, giving me a tight hug.

“Good night, King.” She lets go of me and climbs back into her bed, pulling the covers up to her chin. “I love you,” she says through a yawn, her eyelids fluttering closed.

My heart stops, and a wave of emotion washes over me. “I love you, too, princess,” I whisper, pressing a kiss to the side of her blonde head.

Standing, I reach for Lee, and we exit the room quietly, turning off the light and closing the door behind us.

“She loves you,” Lee says, looking up at me. “And I love you. Thank you for taking care of us and for accepting her into your life without hesitation.”

I place my hands on her hips and pull her body close to mine, closing the space between us. “She’s a part of you, butterfly. How could I not love and accept her? She’s a great kid.” She presses her lips against mine.

Pulling away, she takes my hand, giving me a devious smirk, and drags me down the stairs, making me follow after her happily.

The second we step into the living room, she jumps on me, wrapping her legs around my waist and arms around my neck. My cock instantly comes alive in my sweatpants. It’s been far too long since I buried myself deep inside Lee’s tight cunt. We haven’t fucked once since Olivia moved in.

“I want to do something to you.” I hold her up by her ass.

“I want to do something to you too.” She grins, wiggling her eyebrows.

“Come on. We need to go someplace quiet.” I carry her down the hallway toward the only soundproof room in the house, which happens to be the gym, and walk inside, seeing a shirtless Eli standing in front of the mirror, lifting. Sweat ripples down his muscular body.

With our intrusion, his eyes connect with mine in the mirror. “I need your help with something,” I say.
