LEE

It wasa cold Wednesday in October when Oliver Eli Hale was born. He was a perfect six pounds and four ounces and came into the world screaming at the top of his perfectly healthy lungs. He was born with a full head of black hair and eyes as dark as his father’s.

My little Ollie is a spitting image of his father.

I knew from the moment I found out I was pregnant that Eli was the father, and I’d been correct. We didn’t bother with paternity tests because the four of us knew who the biological father was.

There’s no denying it. All it takes is one look at the beautiful little boy, and you can tell. He’s Eli’s twin, and the older he gets, the more he looks like him.

My baby boy is absolutely perfect.

As my belly grew and my days became filled with doctor appointments and nursery shopping, I’d been worried about how Olivia would react to not being the only child in the house, but she was the perfect little helper and the best big sister right from the start. She adores her little brother, and thankfully, she’s never felt left out.

Sometimes it’s hard with two kids, especially with such a large age gap.

Olivia turned twelve after Oliver was born, and sometimes I still can’t believe I have such a stunning and well-mannered daughter.

She is perfect. Ollie is perfect. My life is perfect.

“Butterfly, come to bed,” King whispers in my ear, pressing a kiss beneath my earlobe.

“Not yet. I want to stare at him a little bit longer.” He wraps his arms around my waist from behind, and I relax against his chest. “I can’t believe our baby boy is going to be one tomorrow.”

“I know. He’s growing up so fast. He and Olivia both.”

I reach down into the crib and run my finger along Ollie’s soft chubby cheek.

“I never imagined this is how my life would turn out. If you would’ve told me five years ago that I’d be a mother of two beautiful children and a wife to three men, I would’ve laughed in your face,” I whisper into the stillness of the room, my focus on my sleeping baby.

King, Ace, Rowen, and I got married a month after Ollie was born. It was a small ceremony that took place in the backyard of our cabin. It felt fitting, considering the cabin is what brought Eli, King, Rowen, and me together in the beginning.

It was a bittersweet day. Bitter because Eli wasn’t there, but sweet because I got to marry the loves of my life with my children by my side.

It was an amazing day, and as a tribute to Eli, we all wore blue.

My dress was stunning. It was a light blue silk that matched my eyes and clung to my body, which is now a little softer, thanks to my recent pregnancy. I haven’t bounced back from this pregnancy like I did when I was seventeen.

The back of the dress was open and stopped just above the small of my back. I kept my hair short but dyed it back to black.

It was the perfect day as I promised myself to my men, and they promised themselves to me. We committed ourselves to our family forever.

We may not have a marriage license, but we were pronounced husbands and wife by a pastor that Ace hired, who didn’t object to marrying four people together.

After our wedding, the six of us took a family honeymoon to Disneyworld, and since we returned, our life has only improved.

For the first time in my life, I’m pleased. I’m not afraid anymore of what’s to come. I’m no longer living in fear and looking over my shoulder. Instead, I’m living with a purpose.

King trails his fingers along the back of my arms, his solid erection pressing into my bottom. “Let’s go to bed, wife. I have something I want to give you.” I place a hand over my mouth to keep me from laughing and waking Ollie.

Rolling my eyes, I take my husband’s hand and lead him out of the room, looking back at our son once more before I close the door and allow King to carry me down the hall into our bedroom.

During my pregnancy, I was tired of sleeping in a different bed every night. I didn’t want to bed hop and room hop anymore, so my guys surprised me by expanding the master bedroom and getting a custom-made bed for us.

Now, our room is fucking huge, big enough for the four of us.
