For her.

For me.

For Oliver.

Now, we’re boring and your typical all-American family.

“Don’t worry about the how. Just promise that you’ll get back on track and stop going down this path you’re currently on. Promise me, Olivia.” His eyes are sad with desperation.

My parents love me. They want what’s best for me and don’t want to see me continuing down the self-destructive path I’m on.

I’m not a bad kid, but I make bad decisions—a lot of them.

It started with Tyler, the football team’s captain. He took notice of me my freshman year, and after giving him my virginity behind the bleachers on the football field, he spread rumors and then ignored me.

Then it continued with Becca and Candice, who got me involved with partying and drinking.

After meeting them, that’s when things really started going downhill. Since then, it’s been one thing after another, it seems.

“You’ll make better friends, sweet girl. Perhaps this is a good thing and exactly what you need to get back on track,” my mom says, her bright blue eyes gentle and full of hope.

“Yeah, Mom. I hope you’re right. I think a new school will be good for me.” I force a smile, hoping she doesn’t see the lie written all over my face.

She's hoping that Bowler Academy will be my fresh start, but I know that it won't be because the person who hates me most in the world is there, and he's vowed to make my life a living hell if he were to see my face again.

Come Monday morning, my life will never be the same.
