“Good, cause I couldn’t give a shit about it, but it’s now mine. Not sure if I should run it or sell it.”

“You can’t sell it. Your brother built this from having a single employee in his garage to what you see today. Did you know that he managed to snag sixteen national accounts last year alone, netting the firm over thirty million dollars? The hotels and casinos who count on the people here are amazing. He works with thirty-two percent of the hotels. Then there are the restaurants and high-end car dealers who wouldn’t dare use anyone but Masters of Sizzle Advertising. From what I’d seen and read, your brother was an advertising genius.”

Almost instantly I could tell what I’d said, including glowing about his brother, which was all true for a change, hadn’t been the best idea. There was obviously bad blood between them.

His eyes lost all sense of mischief, turning hard and cold. “Well, then. Since you seem to know the business cold, I suggest you get busy. I’ll need to see the financials and every project that is in the works by the end of the day. Do you think you can handle that?”

I was momentarily shocked at the change in his demeanor and as usual, the fighter girl inside of wanted to spew nasty things. Something told me to hold back and not just because it was likely he’d toss me out on the street, but because I’d just ripped a layer of his personal armor aside. Unfortunately, I had a feeling I’d also just exposed a demon that was eating him up inside.

“Of course, Mr. Masters. I’ll have those reports on your desk before five.” I wasn’t going to take any additional guff from him and turned around, still holding my head high.

“I would have thought you’d ask me for identification, Sassy. You seem to be such a knowledgeable woman about business in general.”

Goddamn the man. Now he was bringing out the bitchy side of me. I swung around prepared for a fight, storming toward him. “Then hand it over, buster.”

He had to sneer. Of course he did. Who did he think he was dealing with? He slowly pulled his wallet from his back pocket, opening it and tugging out his license. “I’m also surprised you didn’t know this before given you’ve already reached into my wallet.”

Oh, the bastard was never going to allow me to let that go. “I wasn’t snooping. That’s not the kind of girl I am.”

“Ah, just a thief.”

Goddamn, his attitude was shitty. Fine. If he wanted it that way, then I’d give it back to him in exactly the same way.

I peered at the information. Hunt Masters. The name rolled off my tongue. “You are who you say you are, although these things can be forged. If you really are the new owner, you should try not to look like a biker wannabe.”

His laugh was bitter.

“First of all, you know nothing about me. And more important, does it look like I give a shit about owning an advertising firm to you?”

“You have a point. I have a suggestion for you. Why don’t you spend your time elsewhere, allowing the professionals to run the organization?” The son of a bitch issued a knowing grin.

“Are you talking about you?”

Oh, I wanted to scream then lash out uncontrollably.Calm down. He’s just trying to get under your skin.So much for chivalry. He’d just crossed into the major asshole department. “As I said, you’ll have your reports by end of day.” I backed away, allowing a single sneer to cross my face. I’d made it all the way to the door when he cleared his throat.

“What is your name, Ms. Vice President? I know it’s not Sassy.”

A chill skipped down my spine, but there was also a growing spark deep inside my pussy. Damn the man for being so hot. “My name is Harlow Fox, Mr. Masters. Don’t forget it because I’m going to be the best thing that’s ever happened to this firm. Just wait and see.”

“Somehow, I don’t doubt it. I look forward to seeing what you can do, Ms. Fox.”

I hesitated again, closing my eyes. He’d suffered a loss. Whether or not he and his brother had been close was beside the point. “I’m sorry about your brother, Savage. Loss is very difficult.” Of course the big lug said nothing. The man likely didn’t have an ounce of humanity left inside of him. This was like a windfall to him.

I didn’t bother closing the door behind me. Let him see me walk away.

Savage

Goddamn, I was a sucker for a woman in a pencil skirt, the tight material hugging curves that only a man like me was meant to grasp. I also adored a female who could stand on her own two feet, but whew, her spite was explosive.

What the hell?

I shoved aside the blatant desire that had nearly forced me to lunge in her direction, ripping off her conservative clothing. The hunger was at the point my mind couldn’t envision anything but her voluptuous breasts and how good they looked with my fingers squeezing them.

I’d lost a damn screw.

Karma had never been a friend but findingSassystanding in the middle of my brother’s office had reminded me that I was in way over my head. Harlow suited her much better, although her attitude made me want to find a more appropriate name. Vixen came to mind. Jezebel a solid second. I rubbed my jaw, my cock aching. This wasn’t going to bode well for a decent working relationship. Decent? Hell, what did I think could happen from here? She was off limits. Completely. The last thing I needed was to indulge in some reckless fantasy while also attempting to figure out what I was going to do with my brother’s company.
