Men can do that?

I close my eyes and let Percy Snow show me just how thorough he really is.

I’m in trouble.

I’ve never had such a visceral need to be with someone in all of my life. Every movement or soft sigh Ella makes has my gut clenching with need. I’d thought once the night was over and I’d come a few times the novelty of it would have worn off. But that’s not the case, in fact it seems like having her has only made my addiction to her stronger.

I can think of maybe three occasions where I wanted to sleep with a woman more than once. I’d come back to other women, because they were a way to scratch an itch, but not because I actually wanted more from them specifically. Ella is like fresh spring water and the other women I’d been with were sooty river water. Now that I’ve had her there’s no way I can go back to what I was used to.

It’s near two in the morning by the time we tire ourselves out. We’re still awake at four trading stories and talking about our lives—nothing about work, nothing about the news, nothing about my family legacy. She just wants to know about me.

“How could you do that!” Ella laughs and shoves me playfully.

“I didn’t know anything about exotic animals. I thought it would be able to swim. I felt real bad afterwards.” I admit.

“I bet you did.” She chuckles, but it’s immediately followed by a long yawn.

“Someone’s tired.”

“Yeah, I guess it’s time I start making my way back home.” She sits up in bed and stretches. My cock is hard again. I can’t take her again. I can’t, she’s going to be too sore.

“All right. I’ll drop you off.” I swing my legs out of the bed and even as I do something feels off. I want her to stay here with me. I’m not done with her. My body wants to be near her. “Though, you are welcome to stay here. You’re just going to be coming back to the office anyway.”

“Coming back to the office?” Ella tilts her head as she shoots me a confused glance.

“Are you giving up on the article?” I turn back towards her.

“No, absolutely not. But I figured after one day you’d be through with me. That you wouldn’t want me to be around you after the way I went about getting the story.”

“Are you still intending to write a tasteful article?”

“Of course.” Ella answers right away.

“Then you are going to need much more than one day of information. I think after a few more days you’ll have all the information that you need in order for you to write the best article possible. That is if you don’t mind.”

“You want me to stick around?” She raises an eyebrow like she knows I have an ulterior motive.

There’s no sense in me denying it. “Yes. I’d like that very much.”

“I think I can make that happen.” Ella smiles and climbs back into bed. I barely let her head touch the pillow before I’m pawing at her again.

The day goes by quickly, even though I’m stuck in meeting after meeting. I know that after the meetings I get to spend time with Ella. I haven’t seen her since this morning. I drove to her house so she could change clothes quickly before we came to work. Since I had so many meetings today, I sent Greg to escort her around. So far she’s spoken with people in our writer’s pit. She’s seen the archives and the marketing department. I’ve heard first hand some of the questions that she asks and I know that not only is she being completely respectful about digging into my company, but she’s efficient. She doesn’t belong somewhere like Nova Tribune. She deserves to be somewhere that people appreciate what she’s bringing to the table. She should be here.

The second the thought crosses my mind it’s like a seed that takes root. It burrows deep into my mind and I have to stop myself from running out of the meeting that I’m in right now to look for her. She would do great here. She could write in any section of the paper that she wants. I’ve seen some of her work and I know she’d fit right in.

“Mr. Snow, what are your thoughts on cutting back on the fantasy manuscripts being accepted.”

Along with the newspaper we also publish novels both fiction and non-fiction. There has been an uptick in submissions, but so far none of the books we’ve chosen to publish have gained much traction. We’re getting our money back, but we’re not seeing much profit.

“I think we should wait until next year to talk about this. It only takes one story to catch on and burn like tinder.” I say and look up once again to see if Greg and Ella are on their way back. My eyes catch a glimpse of them coming out of the elevator. They’re laughing. My vision goes red when I watch him throw an arm around her shoulder and pull her in.

“What the fuck?” I stand up from my seat keeping them in my sights.
