It’s intrusive, but not as painful as I thought it’d be. Some of the questions bring up great memories and it feels good to boast a little about how successful my company is. I know it takes everyone that works for me to keep up the standards and this interview finally feels like I can shine a light on that.

As of right now, I’d have to say even though the way she went about getting the interview was wrong, I’m glad she talked me into it.

“Wow, I can’t believe you were able to get an interview with the secretary of state after all that mess. What was the atmosphere like? I’d think he would be super uptight.” Ella leans forward in her chair, her cheeks pink with excitement and her pen in her mouth.

“To be honest, I walked in with another reporter and it felt like they were going to haul us off to jail right away. It was intimidating, but once we got past all the security and guns it was a peaceful interview.” I lean back in my chair and wait for her next question. I know she has one, she always does.

“Percy, you live a charmed life.” She smiles at me and leans back in her own chair.

“I do, I know how fortunate I am and it’s my hope that with me being able to employ so many people through Snow Chronicle and the other publishing aspects of the company others can have a good life as well.”

She laughs, “I guess I should have said off the record huh? You don’t need to convince me that you’re a good man Percy. I wouldn’t have fought so hard for this interview if I didn’t think that you were.” Her eyes slowly start to drift from my eyes down to my lips than to my chest before she shakes her head and looks at the clock. It’s way past closing time, but we’ve been so engrossed in conversation neither of us had noticed.

“I can’t believe it’s so late. I shouldn’t have kept you so long.” Ella stands up and wobbles slightly before falling back down to her chair. “Crud.”

I’m out of my chair before she has a chance to move her hand down from her face. “What’s the matter? Are you ill?” I kneel in front of her, gripping the rails on the chair.

“No, I’m fine. I got up too fast. Empty stomach.” She smiles at me and nods her head.

Empty stomach. Dammit, she’s right. Neither one of us had stopped to eat anything all day. I’m used to eating late at night, but I’m sure she has a normal schedule that she usually keeps to

“Come, I’m taking you to dinner.” I stand and put a hand out to help her out of the chair.

“Oh … no, that’s fine. I’ll get something at home.” She tries to wave me off.

I rest my hands on the armrests and bend over so I’m closer to her face. She leans back and holds her breath. “Ella, you’ve been in my care all day and I neglected to feed you. I intend to make that right. I should have taken care of you earlier, but the least I can do now is make sure you’re fed.” My finger accidentally swipes against her skin and a zing of electricity shoots from the point of contact straight to my cock. I’m acutely aware now that we’re alone apart from the security.

Ella doesn’t say a word and her breathing is shallow. Her legs are pressed together and I watch her tongue slowly dart out to wet her lips. All day I have been fighting raging hard ons. Not only is Ella breaking down my walls when it comes to how tight lipped I am about my family and my company, but she’s chipping away at my self control.

“Eat with me.” My voice is gritty, I’m coming apart at the seams.

“Yes.” She whispers.

Her phone buzzes and snaps her out of my trance. Or me out of hers, not quite sure which.

I back up and lean against my desk. As she digs in her purse and pulls out her phone. She looks at the screen and a smile appears on her face.

Who the fuck is she smiling at? She’s not married. I don’t see a ring. Maybe she has a boyfriend. That would make sense. If she has this much of an effect on me I’m sure there are other men who are after her as well. Hell I had to literally throw Greg out of my office this morning, because he was so enthralled with her.

She answers the call, but doesn’t leave.

“Hey, yes I’m fine. No, I’m not in a trunk. No, I’m not saying this under duress.” Ella throws her head back and laughs. The sound causes my dick to twitch in excitement. I wonder what she sounds like when she moans. How could I find out for myself?

“How the hell are you going to hear me blink two times? I promise I’m fine.” Ella shakes her head.

“Who’s that?” I ask, even though it’s none of my business. I shouldn’t care who she’s talking to, but if I can make sure it's not some jealous boyfriend I’d feel better.

“Carrie, um, best friend. She thinks you’re holding me hostage.” Ella rolls her eyes dramatically and I put my hand out for the phone.

When her eyes go wide, I gesture with my fingers for her to give it to me. She slowly hands me the phone. When I put the phone to my ear, her girlfriend is still jabbering away.

“… if he’s an asshole you can tell me. I don’t care if he’s right there. I know he is.”

“Actually, I’m on the phone.” I say and the woman gasps. “I’ve been called many things. Asshole is one of the nicer ones.”

“Well, if you’re actually being nice to Ella then I apologize, but if you’re not then I don’t take it back and instead I think I’m going to make up a few more not so nice names to call you like jerk off and turd waffle. She told me how much of a dick you were before.”

I’m not used to people speaking to me like this, but like I just told her I’ve been called worse. “Well I guess you’ll be happy to know that we’ve made up. In fact, I’m going to be keeping her out a little later tonight.” I tell her.
