“Did you yell at them?” She placed her hands on her hips, half expecting me to have murdered them both.

I washed the hair gel off my hands while I watched her reflection in the mirror. I shook my head. “No, actually I couldn’t find words.”

She rolled her eyes, folding her arms. “Probably best, but he’ll be waiting for you to fire him, I’m sure.”

“I should.” I rumbled as I dried my hands off on a nearby towel, then walked into the bedroom.

Isabelle followed me once again. I sat on the edge of the bed. She stood in front of me, nudging my legs open with her knee, then stood between them. I gripped her hips as she hooked her hands behind my neck, resting her arms on my shoulders. I knew exactly what was on her mind.

“Your eyes are smiling.” I pursed my lips, then gnawed the inside of my cheek. “You’re happy about this, aren’t you?”

“I really am.” She dramatically sank onto my lap, straddling me. “They never stop looking at each other when they’re in the same room and,” she took a deep breath, “I kind of knew something would happen since my birthday party.”

“What?” I furrowed my brow, cocking my head. “What are you talking about?”

She sighed. “Nothing, just please just let them have their moment.” She wrinkled her nose and grabbed my cheeks, tugging me to her lips for a kiss. “He saved our lives, so that should count for something.”

“You’re grinding on my dick right now.” My eyes fell to our laps before I met her gaze. “You know I can’t argue when you do that.”

“Oops.” She tucked her bottom lip between her teeth, grinning.

“You know you don’t have to rub your pussy on me when you want your way.” I placed a peck on her forehead then stood, stabilizing her so she did not fall as I stood her up. “Mi fai impazzire.” I mumbled as I adjusted myself, then headed for the bedroom door.

“You should at least talk to him and find out his intentions if you’re worried.”

“Are you coming downstairs soon?” I grabbed the doorknob, then turned around, ignoring her suggestion.

She nodded. “After I finish my makeup.”

I bowed my head in acknowledgment, then pulled my phone out of my pocket, texting Noah.

Meet me in my office immediately.

I sat behind my desk, waiting for Noah as I finalized the purchased island. The door opened and I did not bother to look up, assuming it was him. Instead, William entered, approaching my desk without a word. He dropped a folder down in front of me. I looked up with only my eyes. Waiting for me to react, he brought his hand to his chin.

I picked it up and opened it. William had put together an entire plan of execution for Felipe. The more I examined each page, the more the information seemed foolproof. It was flawless.

“When did you put all this together?” I closed the file.

“I couldn’t exactly sleep last night after I got home.” He sighed, taking a seat on the edge of my desk. “Tanya fed the baby and I worked on this in bed.”

I nodded about to reply but the office door opened. We both turned toward the noise to see Noah. He entered the room reluctantly. I lifted my chin toward the chair in front of my desk. William glanced at me in confusion. No signal was needed for him to know I wanted him to move to the side of the room. He strode over the wall and leaned on his shoulder. Enveloping his arms over his chest, he observed with curiosity.

Noah sat, crossing his ankle over his knee. He propped his elbow on the arm rest then rolled his bottom lip between his fingers waiting for me to speak first. Instead, I stared at him for a moment trying to figure out what I even wanted to say. I was fuming. However, the things Isabelle said to me in the bedroom came into my head. Noah did save our lives. More importantly, hers. Unfortunately, I was still an asshole when it came to protecting my family, especially my only sister.

His eyes darted back and forth. To William then to me and again. I laughed to myself as I read the bewilderment on his own face, clearly uncertain if I was going to have William strike him. It was funny to see him so uncertain about me when he was normally arrogant about certain matters. I leaned forward, propping on my elbows, glaring at him. He cocked his head, meeting my gaze.

I deeply inhaled, trying not to snap. “Why did you think sleeping with my sister was a good idea?”

“Oh shit.” William snorted. “And you’re still breathing?”

Noah shot him an annoyed glance before fixing his expression and focusing on me.

“Liam.” I lifted my hand to the side then glowered at Noah. “My fiancée is theonlyreason I have not lost my shit yet.”

Noah nodded, opening his mouth to speak.

“How long has this been going on?” I did not give him the chance to utter a word.
