Folding my arms over my chest, I arched a brow, smirking. “And why are you not down there with him?”

He chuckled, shaking his head. “Oh sweetheart, I’m not about to break my hand on anyone’s face tonight. I have to play in a high stakes poker tournament tomorrow, and I don’t need people asking questions.”

“Wait.” I crinkled my forehead. “Who’s he down there with then?”

He shrugged, stepping toward the back door and opening it. He pulled a cigarette from his pocket and took a step backward through the threshold. “Some annoying, chatty realtor.”

Famiglia

Three hours later, I was on my way back to the bedroom to give Isabelle the time I promised her. I had not expected it to take so long in the basement, but I was surprised when her aunt was brought to the estate by my brother. He had caught her gambling with some of her friends at his hotel and casino in Atlantic City.

He had not called me to let me know he was on the way. In fact, it was not until Joseph contacted me that I knew I had someone waiting for me. Alessandro did not bother to dare assist me. He was a strange one, only involving itself in drama he felt would benefit him in some way. Typical arrogance, though I did not mind. It gave me a chance to make my point. One more person crossed off the list who would never harm the love of my life.

“Mr. Greco.” Noah's voice came from the living room the moment the sole of my shoe touched the bottom step in the foyer.

I stopped, and deviated toward the room, leaning on a pillar just inside the oversized arch. Sliding my hands in my pockets, I silently waited for whatever he was about to say.

“Can we talk for a few minutes?”

I glanced back over my shoulder, knowing Isabelle was expecting me. I had already been gone for so long and still needed to shower. “Can it wait until tomorrow?”

“Sure.”

“Thank you.”

Striding back to the stairs, I skipped every other one as I ascended then sauntered to my bedroom. The moment I opened the door, my heart sunk. Isabelle was curled up outside the blankets on the bed, wearing the navy-blue gown she wore to the wedding. The remote for the television rested in in her palm. I glanced at the screen to see she had fallen asleep watching old reruns of I Love Lucy; one of her favorites.

Smiling at her peacefulness, I did not want to disturb her yet, so I crept into the bathroom. After stripping my clothes off and waiting for the water to heat up, I stepped in. Leaning my head on the wall, I closed my eyes. Isabelle’s aunt did not give us the information I demanded from her, no matter how many times I made her pay for setting us up.

I hated hurting women, but she deserved everything she had coming to her. Instead of torturing her, I had Blaine kill her after I tried every tactic to get her to say something. Anything that would give me a clue as to what was happening.

I lathered the soap in a clean washcloth and washed my body twice, before taking a small brush to my nails, assuring all the blood was washed out of my nail-beds. The last piece of the puzzle was Jesse, or so I hoped. The moment I got my hands on him I would—

“Hey, handsome.”

I turned to see Isabelle standing in the middle of the bathroom, still wearing the dress. “Ciao, beautiful.”

She sashayed closer to the shower, opening the door. I arched a brow, placing the brush on a shelf in the back corner. She stepped in, pulling the door closed. Trailing her fingers up my chest, she dragged her nails around my nipples. Stretching her neck up, she pressed her lips to mine.

“Your dress is getting wet.”

“I assure you, I’m wetter.” She smirked, bowing her head toward her middle before lifting her gaze back to mine. “And you planned to destroy the dress anyway.”

Crashing my lips into hers, I twisted her around, pinning her back against the wall. “Good answer.” I growled against her mouth.

Hooking my fingers under the thin straps, I yanked them down. Instantly, they gave in, detaching from the designer gown. Never breaking our kiss, I pulled the top of the dress down, exposing her braless, perky chest.

Water cascaded down our bodies as I nipped and licked her exposed skin. Cupping her right breast, I sucked it hard before biting the tip of her nipple. She leaned her head back against the shower wall, moaning as she ran her hands over my shoulders toward my back. Digging her fingers into my shoulder blades, she dragged her nails toward the back of my head.

Reaching behind her I tugged on the zipper, but it would not budge. I clutched the sides of the dress, heaving it apart, triggering the threading to come undone. Gripping each side of the thigh length split, I tore it open. A ripping sound echoed against the shower walls.

Pressing my forehead to hers, I reached down, stroking her slit. “Fuck, you’re slippery.”

“What did you expect?” She grinned, panting.

I slid my hands down her sides. With the water weighing down the fabric, it tumbled to the floor easily. I placed my hand back on her mound, inserting two fingers inside her. She closed her eyes, pushing her hips into my hand as she wrapped her palm around my throbbing cock. Steam danced around us as we stroked one another, passionately kissing beneath the waterfall feature.

Hooking my foot inside her dress, I tugged it out of the way and grabbed her backside, lifting her off the marble floor. She wrapped her legs around me as I lowered her body onto my cock. The shower was becoming too hot so I turned it off and kicked the door open behind me with my heel.
