“That's the dinner fork,” she expressed confidently.

The woman knows her forks, Joseph chimed in through the earpiece.

I chose to ignore him. Joseph loved to push buttons, sometimes too much at the worst time. The server instantly delivered another to me when I signaled her.

By the time we were on the entrees, I decided to push my boundaries with Isabelle. Placing my hand on her bare thigh at the hem of her dress, I lightly gripped her leg, rubbing her soft skin in circles with my thumb. I was testing the waters, wanting to see if it would gain a negative reaction. She was mildly startled but did not shove my hand away. Her leg began to form goosebumps while I grinned at the effect I had on her.

Unable to resist her any longer, I slowly glided my hand up her leg, but suddenly felt her hand on top of mine, stopping me.

“Please don't do that,” she whispered.

I froze, not wanting to upset her. “I apologize, I--.”

“I made a promise to someone,” she interrupted shyly, “and I need to keep it.”

Fuck! I knew she was talking about me, well the other version of me. I never thought that I would be a challenge to myself. I glanced away, biting my bottom lip, torn between amusement and defeat.A part of me wanted to pull the other phone out of my pocket, texting her,Let him touch you it's okay. The other part of me just laughed at the unfortunate situation I had placed myself in with this woman. I had to play dumb, which would be hard.

“If I had known you had a boyfriend,” I indicated, “I would not have asked you to dinner.” I felt like a jerk, but I had to keep up the appearance at this point.

She wiped her lips with a napkin, turning her body toward me. “It's not like that but I cannot explain it,” she conveyed.

Pressing for more info to see what she would say, I propped my elbow on the table, peering into her eyes, challenging her secrecy. I reached over with my other hand, hooking a long strand of her hair behind her ear. She leaned into my touch, but quickly pulled away.

“Try,” I urged, “I am a great listener.”

She shook her head, trying to find her words. “I can't.” she fretted, “Trust me, the situation is so weird.”

I nodded, deciding to leave it be, not attempting to reach up her skirt again. She smiled sweetly at me, but her eyes told a different story. She did want me. She was fighting it. Seeing this sign, I chose a gentler approach.

“Okay, I respect that,” I cooed as I twirled a strand of her hair around my index finger.

Again, she leaned into my touch, closing her eyes, enjoying the moment. I slid my hand around to the back of her neck, rubbing my thumb lightly on her aroused skin. She almost moaned, but she opened her eyes, gazing into mine as her breathing began to get shallower.

“What are the rules about kissing you then?”

She tilted her head, her eyes filled with lust and desire. “That's a grey area,” she gulped.

Leaning closer to her face, I pursed my lips. Her eyelids fluttered as she readied herself, anticipating my next move. My fingers slid into her hair, entangling into her strands as I lightly gripped. Fuck my other identity right now. Fuck whatever rules I had for her. I did not care what she did, as long as it was with me, either version of me. I pressed my lips into hers, parting her mouth with my tongue as we engaged in a passionate kiss. She reached up to my face, cupping my scruffy jaw.

Internally I was craving this man. I felt as if my body was going to explode any moment. Something about him was too familiar but I knew better. Things like this did not just happen in real life. I wanted to pull away from the kiss so badly, but I was so caught up in the way his tongue romantically danced with mine. Turning away his touch was hard enough but his kiss made me feel the electricity between us. I was a virgin, but I was full of naughty desires.

I needed to stop this before it became something that got me in trouble. The fact remained thatSirhad also captured my attention. I made him a promise, and as much as I wanted Valentino right now, I needed to keep my word to Sir.

Maybe I only wanted Valentino because he was so mysterious.I was never one to break promises. Something was going on. A strange sensation rose up inside me. It was a gut feeling of some sort, but I did not know what just yet. Finally, I got up the strength to pull away from his tantalizing lips.

“I’m sorry,” I apologized, glancing down into my lap.

He moved his free hand to mine. Interlocking his fingers with mine, he loosened his grip ever so slightly on my hair. “Is everything okay?” He sounded concerned as he slowly circled my neck with his thumb.

I nodded, feeling heat rise within me.

He stood with my hand still attached to his. My eyes followed his movements. He gazed down seductively at me, “Walk with me.”

I jerked my hand back, gasping at his words. He also yanked back as if I had shocked him. His eyes widened as I sat staring up at him.

“Something I should be aware of?” he responded as he studied my face with a smirk of confusion.

I shook my head slowly. My mind was playing tricks on me. I stood, then we strolled hand in hand over to the railing of his yacht once again. He positioned himself behind me, resting his chin on my shoulder. I smiled, as my mind wandered, while enjoying him caressing me.
