I open the ring box and show her the ring. She lets out a little watery laugh and smiles at me.

“I want to marry you.” I give her a broad grin. “Will you marry me?”

“Warren,” she sighs and her body flings into mine, her arms wrap around my shoulder and she presses a fierce kiss to my lips before she pulls back and says, “I thought you’d never ask.”

We laugh at her answer and smile at the cheers that come from the doorway, Sofia and her family clearly spying.

When I slip that ring onto her finger, I know without a shadow of a doubt that this is the happiest day of my life.

Well, at least, so far.
