“Aiden, please,” she begs, her worries about me doing too much forgotten.

“What do you need, baby?” That gets a little growl and a bite on the lip from my girl. Oh, she wants to play like that? I snap the elastic on her panties against her skin.

“You’re lucky you’re infirmed at the moment, sir.” She squints her eyes at me but can’t hide her small smile.

“Oh,sir. I think I like that.“ I give her a wink when my fingers go where she needs them most. I begin rubbing her swollen clit in slow circles, causing a needy gasp to escape her lips.

“This what you want, baby?” I whisper roughly into her neck.

She nods slightly, and I ravage her mouth with my own. My kiss is just as desperate as hers, having not known if I would ever feel it again. I slide my fingers into her glorious wet heat and push my forehead against hers, finding the spot inside her that I know will set her off. Her gaze never leaves mine and I thank the universe for giving me another chance to look into her bottomless blue eyes. The same eyes I saw when I thought for sure I was a goner. The only ones I want to look into like this ever again.

Her walls tighten as my fingers catapult her toward the peak.

“Give me your mouth,” I command, diving in for another kiss just as she starts to come, swallowing her moans and whimpers. I continue pumping my fingers, slowing down as her orgasm recedes. Pulling my hand away after I’ve wrung every last drop of pleasure from her, I bring my fingers to my lips and put them in my mouth, licking them clean.

“Delicious,” I moan, as my gaze bores into her.

She gives me a heated look, then glances at my cock straining against my sweats. The gray ones she brought me to come home in.

“Let me take care of you.” She moves down my body and as much as I would love to feel her mouth wrapped around me, I wouldn’t be able to control myself and probably end up busting a stitch or some such bullshit.

“No, baby. That was for you. The only thing I want is to feel you lying next to me.” I brush her hair behind her shoulder before trailing my fingers down her back. I can’t stop touching her. Not now, not ever.

She gives me a disbelieving look but lays her head on my chest. Having my girl in my arms again is exactly what the doctor ordered. Between the calming sound of the waves and the warmth of Lindsey next to me, I close my eyes and drift into a peaceful sleep.

Lindsey isn’t next to me when I wake just over an hour later. Turning my head, I smell her pillow and smile. I’ll never get enough of my woman’s scent on my sheets.

I make my way into the living room as the sun begins its descent over the water. Not a bad view at all. Donovan is in the kitchen frying up bacon while Kasey cuts fruit. Thank God she didn’t decide to cook. She and her sister have the same talents in the kitchen––meaning none. Good thing their men can throw a meal together. Lindsey’s sitting at the counter with her phone in her hand. When she sees me coming toward her, a beaming smile stretches across her face. When I get to her, I put my arm around her as she leans up to kiss me. Her phone buzzes on the counter a few times and Abigail’s name appears on the screen.

“She’s just checking up on you,” Lindsey tells me.

Honestly, I’m surprised she cares. I haven’t had the best interactions with Abigail the last few times we’ve been around each other. Lindsey must see the guilt on my face when she tries to reassure me.

“Abigail doesn’t hold grudges,” she says.

My brow quirks up because I’ve seen how she is with Jackson.

“Well, most of the time.” Lindsey and Kasey chuckle, knowing where my thoughts went.

“Jackson’s been calling me for updates as well,” Donovan tells me.

“Hey, why don’t we have them come down and spend the week with us? The house is plenty big enough, even for those two,” Kasey suggests.

Lindsey looks in my direction for confirmation.

“I’m fine with it. As long as they can keep World War III from breaking out under this roof.” It would be terrible for Donovan to have to pay to make the house livable again after one of them goes on a rampage because of what the other said.

“Great. I’ll let her know,” Lindsey says, excited by the idea of having a little vacation. Truthfully, I’m a little nervous about spending the week with Abigail considering I haven’t apologized for my last two outbursts. Perhaps apologizing in paradise will make her a bit more amiable toward me.

While Lindsey calls Abigail to ask if it’s something she can swing, I take a seat on the couch and just watch the sunset through the expansive windows. Fuck, I am one lucky bastard. Lucky to be alive, damn lucky to have my girl with me, and just all around thankful to be here. Lindsey finishes her phone call and comes to sit next to me.

“How ya feeling, champ?” she asks.

I grab her and pull her closer.

“Like the happiest man in the world.” She snuggles into me, watching the waves with me, and releases a contented sigh.

“I love you,” she whispers into my neck.
