“Fuck off, you will not,” Gray fired out and I couldn’t help but laugh.

“You can’t blame a man for trying. I mean your wife and husband are hot as hell. I still don’t know what they see in your little brother.”

Gray mumbled insults to his twin as we followed Mav to the downstairs guest bedroom, where Thomas had added a huge bed for us, so we could be as close to each other as possible.

While Mav placed Ivy in the middle, Gray walked slowly behind her, with me pressed against his side, helping him stay upright. He climbed into the bed next to her, pressing his head into her hair, breathing her in.

“Fuck, I’ve missed the smell of you, firefly. I feel like I’ve been right next to you for weeks, but way too far away from you.”

Shuffling in on the other side of her, I tried not to use my hands because they still hurt like hell. I wrapped my good arm over Ivy’s belly, but the minute I touched her, her body froze, and she shuffled upwards, away from me.

“Ivy?”

“Mav, can you grab my purse and then give us a minute? I’ll shout you when we’re done talking.”

“Bossing me around already. I knew you’d be trouble.” He winked before grabbing her purse and leaving us to talk.

“Ivy?” I repeated, firmer this time.

“I have something to tell you both. I didn’t tell you before because, well, it’s been intense, and I wanted to have you all to myself when I did.”

“What? Ivy, are you okay?” Gray asked, fear choking him.

“How do you feel about adding another to our constellation? A fourth?”

“Have you met someone else, firefly? When? How?” Gray’s face furrowed angrily as he stared at her.

She shook her head, laughing. “Don’t be silly. You two are more than enough for me. I wouldn’t want anyone else.”

Gray let out a sigh. “Thank God, but then I’m confused.”

She lifted our hands carefully, pressing them against her shirt, being particularly gentle with mine. Her usually soft, flat tummy was swollen and hard. “Meet your daughter,” she whispered.

I gasped and Gray groaned, both of us staring at her like she’d just told us we’d won the lottery.

“Really, firefly. Are you sure?” Gray asked, his eyes fixed on where our hands connected withourbaby.

“Really.”

“Can I? Can we?” he pointed to her belly, saying all the things I’d lost the words to say.

She nodded and Gray pulled up her top, showing off her beautifully swollen belly. I spread my hand flat again, not caring about the pain it caused, laying it against her bump.

“Daughter? Are you sure?” I finally managed to ask.

Making sure our hands could stay on her bump, she leaned forward, opening her purse and pulling out some photos. She opened them, holding up the scans of our baby. “I’m sure. I’m very pregnant. And she’s a girl.”

“How pregnant?” I asked, remembering what she’d been through with Amos and the fire.

“About 24 weeks now. I had no clue, I promise. I thought I was being sick because of the kidnapping. My belly was swollen, but it happened so quickly that I presumed it was because I went so long without food when Amos took me. Melissa took one look at me and laughed that I’d not realized. Apparently, my placenta is at the front of my belly, which means I can’t feel her kick very well. I just got lots of butterflies that I put down to being in love with you two.”

“Pregnant,” was all Gray could say.

I leaned down and pressed a kiss to her belly. “Hey there, baby star. You’re a wonderful surprise.”

“But who’s the father?” Gray asked, making Ivy hiss.

“We can get a DNA test if you want, but I chose to marry you both, to be a part of both of you, so to me it doesn’t matter whose sperm made this beautiful person. You are both her dads, as much as you are both my husbands.”
