“And there it is.” She sighed. “Who do we trust enough with this?”

“Easy. Addi.” I announced.

“Fuck, no. You’re hard enough to manage as a band. I couldn’t cope with a label.”

“Well, we’re not doing it unless you say yes. If you say no, we will stay with Jaxx and drown ourselves in bad publicity until you change your mind,” Mav declared.

“Emotional fucking blackmail. I should have known you’d do something like that.”

“You know me so well, Stone. So, will you do it?”

She paused. “I want a pay rise.”

“We will double what you get now plus you get 10% of anything the label makes in a year,” Tanner offered with a huge smile, knowing as well as the rest of us did that Addi would say yes.

She huffed. “I’ll need staff. People to help. I need someone to manage you, motley crew, and I’ll need press people for each band. It’s such a massive job, guys. I’m not sure I’m up for it.”

“I think we should promote our new press officer to manager for the Gods. He’s hot as hell, and he seems to be able to fight our corner when we need him to,” I suggested and we all turned to look at Ethan.

“Ethan? You want to manage us?” Tanner asked.

He shook his head wildly. “I wouldn’t know where to start.”

“Addi can help you for a couple of months while we get everything set up, but I think you know more than you realize. If every decision you make is in Gray’s best interest, then you’re protecting us all. Look, none of us know what we’re doing, so we’ll be in it together. You in?”

Ethan looked at me, and I nodded. When he turned to Ivy for her approval, she smiled. To everyone else looking on, it looked like a wife, happy for her husband, but to me, I noticed the smile didn’t light her up and she avoided meeting Ethan’s eyes.

“I’m in,” Ethan announced, oblivious to her apparent unhappiness.

“Well then, let’s celebrate our new label. Now we just need a name.”

“Gods of Melody,” Mav cried.

There was a moment of pause before we all clapped and cheered.

“Gods of Melody, it is. Here’s to having the life we dreamed about in that garage,” Tanner declared as we toasted with our water glasses and coffee mugs.

“What? Hot girls bringing us cool drinks in an air-conditioned recording studio?” I asked, laughing at the things we used to want.

“Living the dream. Absolutely living the dream,” Mav cried, wrapping his arm around me.

Ethan

Ivyexcusedherselffromour conversation, telling me she had a headache and wasn’t feeling well, leaving us to spend the next few hours planning. Costs, building plans, marketing, rescheduling the concert dates they’d had to cancel. They left with an initial plan for our new record label, and it was so exciting to see them all come alive.

When the door closed, I clicked the lock, taking a second to just breathe. What have I done?I’d gone from being a graphic designer to managing a world famous rock band.

I leaned my head and hands against the front door while I caught my breath and I felt Gray’s body press against me from behind.

“Did you really do all that? For me? For the band?”

“I did, Gray. I would do it all again if it kept you happy and safe.”

“Fuck, I love you.” His hands moved to my button and zipper as he freed me from my jeans.

“Where’s our princess?”

“She’s already in bed. I don’t think I can wait, Ethan. I need to feel you. Keep your hands on the wall.” His hands reached under my sweater, skimming over my abs and my chest while he gyrated his hard cock against my ass. “You’d do that? Give up your business to manage the band?”
