“Pause for a minute,” Leo commands. “Rewind a half a millimeter.” Stepping forward, he points. “There you see him?”

Narrowing my gaze on the figure, my blood boils at the sight of the enemy.

Federico Gheata.

He’s one of Andreas Gheata’s sons.

Fuck.

“He’s a dead man,” Christian snarls from my other side.

“He’s more than just a dead man. I’m going to make him feel my wrath of fire before he takes his last breath. Him and the rest of his family. I want them all to suffer,” I sneer. “Now show me the feed you have on Blake.”

The screen switches back to inside the restaurant and in the hallway leading to the restrooms and back exit.

I watch as Blake steps into the hallway, and they immediately knock her out and throw her slumped form over one man’s shoulders while the others keep a look out.

I’m going to kill each and every one of them motherfuckers if she’s hurt.

Taking a not-so-calming breath, I turn from the screens and look to both Diego and Tizio. “Explain how they were able to take my woman and Mia.”

Tizio steps forward, meeting first Leo’s, then mine, and last Christian’s eyes. “Bitch came up to us acting like she needed directions. Told her to get lost, but she refused to leave. Diego moved away in order to keep focused. That’s when they tasered him, then the girl got me. Couldn’t have been knocked out more than a few minutes before realizing what happened. Saw both girls’ cars were still outside and went in to check on them only to find them missing.”

“We immediately came in here and started making the calls while looking at the security feed,” Diego states, finishing for Tizio. “I called Leo to report it. He’d stated the three of you were on the way already.”

I nod, not trusting myself to speak at the moment.

Closing my eyes, I look to Leo, ice filling my veins, and I know he sees the switch in me.

“We’ll get her back, Theo,” Leo states far too calmly. “You need to keep it together, cousin. If you don’t, everything will be fucked up. We now know who the rat is. We get Bianca Gheata. We get both Mia and Blake back.”

I allow his words to sink in, and when they do, I curl my lip. “Then we better set a trap for the rodent before she can get too far away.”

Back at the house, I walk into mine and Blake’s room, Tink and Blue on my heels. They can sense something is wrong, and they’re sticking close by.

Reaching into my pocket, I pull out the small box I’ve been carrying around with me every day. I’d texted her earlier after she let me know she made it to the restaurant, telling her we were going away for the night. I intended on asking her to marry me because I can’t live without her.

I open the box and look at the diamond ring shining brightly between the sapphire gems around it. I chose this ring because it reminded me of Blake. How she brings light to my life in a way nothing or no one ever could.

“I’ll find you, Snowflake, and when I do, I’m putting this damn ring on your finger once and for all,” I declare to the empty room.

BLAKE

One Month Later . . .

Being left in a cell is not all it’s cracked up to be. Worse, being chained to the wall. I don’t know the exact amount of time. No one tells me anything. No one talks to me or even looks at me. They only bring a small tray of scraps and a small mini bottle of water which I must ration throughout the day because I refuse to beg for more.

Well, everyone except for three people. My parents and Ethan—the man my parents wanted me to marry, and I ran away.

The first few days, it was only Ethan coming in. He’d criticize me, then tell me I was his, and I was to be punished for my mistakes.

I cringe, remembering the first time he spoke to me.

“You’re mine, Blake, and you gave what belongs to me to another.” Ethan brings his hand across my face sending my head sideways.
