“Diego and Tizio are on them,” Theo mutters, pulling out his phone. I’m sure he’s going to call them and check-in. “I texted Blake before this shitstorm telling her to call me, but she hasn’t.”

Gillian snorts, earning our attention once more. “Good luck getting her to talk to you again.”

“What the hell do you mean?” he sneers, clenching his teeth and holding the phone to his ear.

My phone rings in my pocket as Gillian only continues to smirk. I pull the phone out and check the screen.

Shit.

Mia.

“Not a good time,” I growl, answering.

“Well, you might want to make time.” The way she snaps at me tells me something’s wrong. Mia isn’t a woman who gets mad easily, and right now, I’m sensing she’s pissed.

I meet Leo’s gaze briefly before turning to Theo in time to see him chuck his phone across the room.

“What is it, Mia?” I ask none too nicely. We have a situation going on, and I don’t have time to listen to what’s going on with her. Part of the problem is I need to find the bitch I’ve stuck my cock in and find out what game she’s playing at.

Mia doesn’t answer me. Instead, I hear her gasp, and a man’s voice fills the line. “You should have minded your own business, Mia.”

The call disconnects, and my anger boils over into a rage like no other. I drop the phone from my ear, reach behind me and pull my gun from the back of my charcoal-gray slacks. Aiming at Gillian, I don’t think of anything other than killing her. She’s one of the problems, and I’m putting an end to it all. I pull the trigger, and the bullet hits directly between her eyes before she even has a chance to realize it was going to be me killing her.

“What the fuck?” Leo demands when I drop my gun on the table. “We weren’t done.”

“We were, boss,” I mutter, nodding toward Gillian. “She wasn’t going to tell us anything else, and right now, that doesn’t matter. We got other problems.”

“What did Mia say?” he asks, having heard me say her name.

“She didn’t get the chance to,” I growl, clenching my hands into fists and looking toward Theo. “Diego? Tizio?”

“Neither answered,” he states, narrowing his gaze before stalking out of the room. I’m sure, without a doubt, I know where he’s going because it’s where Leo and I head as well.

THEO

Pulling in front of the restaurant I knew Blake and Mia were having lunch. I park and get out, slamming the door behind me. I stalk into the building, not even having to look to know both Christian and Leo are behind me. I bypass the hostess, not caring to stop, and head for my destination. The staff knows who I am. Just as they know who Leo and Christian are. This establishment is owned by the three of us. It’s one of the few not only in the De Luca name.

My eyes go directly to both Diego and Tizio. They’re both looking nearly as pissed as I am. Our men aren’t ones who you can pull the wool over, but someone got to them.

Diego is the first to speak up. “We fucked up,” he says, shaking his head.

“Explain what happened,” I demand, feeling Leo and Christian stopping directly behind me.

“Better to show you. They didn’t hide who and what they were doing from the cameras,” Tizio says, curling his lip in disgust. “Well, at least they didn’t hide it from the cameras no one can see.”

“Show us,” Leo commands, stepping forward and nodding down the hall leading to the offices.

One of the offices is for the manager who runs the establishment. The other is for us.

The five of us enter the room, and my eyes go straight to the wall holding the security monitors. I cross my arms and widen my stance while I wait for Tizio and Diego to play what’s been paused on the screen.

They start with both Mia and Blake sitting at lunch, laughing and seeming to be having a great time. Fast-forward a few minutes later, Blake looks down at her phone, and the smile disappears. She cups her mouth and tosses the cell on the table before rushing toward the bathrooms.

“This is where everything gets tricky,” Tizio tells me. What I see next won’t make me any happier. “We’ll start with what happens with Mia.”

He switches the feed over to Mia, playing it from where she picks up Blake’s phone. Not even a moment later, she’s out of the booth, her bag and Blake’s in hand. Just outside the restaurant, Mia pulls her own phone out, and I’m sure that’s when she calls Christian. Mia’s facing the parking lot but not watching her surroundings like she was told to always do when someone comes up behind her.
