In the past month, I’ve barely been able to sleep. Not with Blake and Mia missing. Somehow they’ve been able to hide from us, and it’s pissing me off royally. We’ve managed to catch some of the Gheata men. All of them I’ve personally tortured to find information—none of them had what we need. I’m going out of my mind thinking of all that my woman and cousin are going through.
We debated on bringing in our cousins Reaper and Angel, but we haven’t. Shock and Steel came home to help after Leo called them. This is something we couldn’t keep from them. Mia’s their sister as well. The twins finally talked us into allowing Fuse, a guy from their club, to look into everything and help us find a location.
“Shock and Steel will be here any minute,” Leo mutters, looking as tired as I feel. “Said they have some news.”
I open my mouth to say something when Christian storms in. “We’ve found Bianca Gheata,” he declares.
“Where is she?” I curl my lip in disgust at the name.
Christian grins maliciously and meets my gaze. “Nicolo and Tizio are putting her in a holding cell as we speak. Diego said they found her back in Virginia, followed, and snagged her up the first chance they got. Brought her back here. They didn’t want to call it in until they were here.”
“Smart move,” I grumble, thinking on the reasons for getting discrete while they transported the bitch back here.
“Yeah, according to Diego, the three of them deserve a fucking raise for having to deal with her screeching the entire drive,” Christian snorts, rolling his eyes.
Leo grunts in response, pacing across the room. “They have both my sister and Blake. We now have Bianca Gheata. They won’t trade the two of them together.” He sighs and rakes a hand in frustration through his hair. “Those bastards will kill Mia and Blake before giving in. They’ve started a war. Whatever we do next, we need to play it smart.”
Agreeing with Leo, I nod, knowing he’s right. Those bastards would easily slice a knife through either of their throats. They wanted a war and started it. Now it’s our move, and to get my woman and cousin back, we can’t go off halfcocked because we’ve taken one of their own.
“We’ll be smart about it, but that bitch will feel my wrath,” Christian sneers. “I want her to regret ever playing us.”
I get he’s blaming himself for falling for Bianca’s tricks, but she was only pussy to him. That’s it. Not like he shared intimate dinner dates and moonlight walks with her.
Sighing, I release a heavy breath.
“Who’s going to do what?”
I twist in order to see the man behind the voice as he steps inside—Leo’s dad, Andrea. Ironic really that he’d have a similar name to the head of the Gheata family. Behind him are my father, Shock, and Steel. When Blake was taken, my uncle called his brother to inform him, and both my parents got on the first flight back, ending their trip abruptly.
I glance at the hardened features on my father’s face and can see the toll this is taking on him as well. He nods in greeting but remains silent as is his way. Demetrio De Luca isn’t a man who talks unless he needs to. It’s the way he also taught me to be.
“What are you doing here?” Leo mutters, obviously annoyed by his father’s appearance.
“Sorry, Leo, but he has a right to hear this as well,” Shock grumbles, shoving his hands in the front pockets of his faded jeans.
“Then get to it.” Leo motions with his hand in the air for him to go on.
We’re all frustrated and not feeling very patient.
“Fuse looked into the Gheata name. According to what he found, Andreas has a son who technically is his firstborn by his mistress from that time frame—Cedric. He’s not a fan of the family,” Shock says, moving further into the room.
Steel doesn’t move, but he picks up where his brother left off. “Found out Cedric works at Night’s Bliss in Virginia Beach. Called a friend from the Devil’s Riot MC and asked a few questions. According to Hades, Cedric is the right-hand man to a woman named Finley Keahi.”
“Finley Keahi? The pimp and loan shark?” Christian asks inquisitively.
“That’s the one,” Shock confirms. “Hades did us a solid, called Cedric. He didn’t give much information, but he gave us a few locations he knows about. Said if his brother Federico is involved, it’ll be one of those places because his older brother doesn’t use them. They’re supposedly meant for nothing other than a ruse per se.”
“Can we trust this Hades?” I ask, furrowing my brows. “What’s to say he’s pulling shit out of his ass?”
“He’s in the same club Bethany’s man is with,” Leo announces. “Chaz and the other three men who are a part of Demons Among Us are all members.”
I forgot about Bethany and her man. I glance over to my uncle to see him grimacing at the mention of Bethany. Our family has lost a lot of people because of feuds and wars. Andrea’s brother, Romano, was head of the family before him and was killed. When he died, my uncle allowed Romano’s wife to leave when she was pregnant with Romano’s child, Ronaele. Then the same fate came to my cousin, but she ended up dying protecting her daughter, Bethany.
Shaking my head, I drop my arms from in front of my chest and reach up to pinch the bridge of my nose with one. “Alright then, let’s get the hell out of here. I want my woman back.”
“And Mia,” Christian adds while sneering. “But question, if we’re going to check out these buildings, what do we do with Bianca Gheata for the time being?”
“She can sit in a fucking cell until we have both Mia and Blake back,” Leo declares, a devious smile forming in place. “I know of the perfect way to make her pay.”
