With that said, he walks out of the office, calling out over his shoulder. “Let’s get a move on. I want both women back home. We’ll discuss strategy in the car.”

Nodding, I follow behind him, more than ready to be on the road.

Three Hours Later . . .

We pull up in front of the first location—the one Cedric stated would probably be the best chance at finding our women. Night has fallen, but the building isn’t just a building. It’s a damn massive house sitting in the middle of wheat fields. Talk about someTexas Chainsaw Massacreshit right here.

Taking two SUVs we divide between the two. My father and uncle in one with Shock and Steel. Leo, Christian, and I in the other. A third SUV joined us fifteen minutes into the drive after Christian made the call to Nicolo.

I’m surprised at the vacancy of the place. It’s lit up inside, but there’re no vehicles to be found. There’s also no security team on the lookout. Either these fuckers are dumb as a brick and don’t think they need anyone, or this was a ruse.

I glance over to Leo and Christian as I climb out of the driver’s seat. No one speaks a word, and I motion for Nicolo, Diego, and Tizio to check around the side of the place. I reach around to wrap my fingers around the butt of my gun situated at the small of my back.

Pulling the gun around the front and grasping it with both hands, holding it low, I silently head for the front doors. I peek into the windows by the door, not seeing anyone.

“Go ahead and kick the fuckin’ door in,” Leo orders, coming up behind me.

“With pleasure.” I nod and step back enough to lift my leg up and kick at the doorknob.

In the distance, we can hear the sound of male voices. Jerking my chin, I nod in the direction and start heading that way. I come to a stop when a door opens, and two men step out. I recognize them both immediately. Ethan Dalca and Federico Gheata.

They see us and rush back into the room, closing the door behind them. We can hear them both yelling and someone’s muffled screams.

“Mia,” Christian snarls from behind me.

Ignoring the sight of Mia, for the time being, my focus is on the two men who dared to take either woman.

Ethan pulls his gun out. Eyes widening in panic as he meets my gaze. I see the way his hands are shaking, and I’m not blind to the fact he knows he’s screwed. There’s no way around it. They were stupid enough to not have anyone else here.

I should end his miserable life, but I intend to make him suffer for every moment I’ve been away from my woman and more.

“Where’s Blake?” I demand, pointing my own gun in his direction.

“Fuck you. Blake is mine, and she will stay that way.” Ethan finds the courage to say.

Out of the corner of my eye, I notice the weasel Federico inching toward the window and switch my focus to him. “Move another step, and I’ll kill you now.” Not really, but he doesn’t need to know that.

Everything seems to become a blur of movement as everything happens at once. Ethan pulls the trigger. His shot barely misses me while Federico yanks his own gun out and aims it at Mia before doing the same.

I jump for Ethan and start pummeling him with my fists. The bastard goes down and barely puts up a fight. Only when my father and uncle grab hold of my arms do I stop. I take in my work on his face, noting the blood coating his face.

“Come on, son, Leo’s rushed out of here with Mia,” Demetrio states, blowing out a haggard breath. “You need to get it together, find Blake. She’s got to be here somewhere. Leave the rest of this to Andrea and me. Diego and Nicolo can help us. You and Christian focus on where it needs to be.”

Getting control of my breathing, I nod and look to Christian. His eyes are black and glittering with murder. I glance at his feet to see Federico nearly beaten to death. At least he hasn’t killed him yet.

“Let’s find my sister,” he sneers and spits on the man lying in a heap.

I grunt and exit the room.

“Theo,” Tizio calls from further in the house. “You need to come quickly.”

Hearing the gruff tone, my gut twists into knots more than it already is. I rush in his direction and find him standing in front of yet another door. From the look on his face, it’s not good.

“Brace,” he murmurs. “I didn’t think you would want me to touch her.”

I swallow past the thickness tightening in my throat and stalk past him. Taking the stairs two at a time, I get to the bottom and see her. There chained to the wall is my woman—eyes closed and unconscious, worse her body is beaten black and blue.
