“I can hear your stomach growling. How long are you willingly going to starve just so you don’t disturb me?”

“Forever.”

I shook my head at him.

“If you starve, you can’t take care of me. Take care of yourself too. Okay?”

Neither tried to stop me from sitting up. I stretched and stood.

“What are you hungry for tonight?” I asked, looking at Vorx.

“You.”

“You’re the one who keeps saying soon. I’m here whenever you want me.” I shot him a sassy look and exaggerated my walk all the way to the kitchen. A growl sounded behind me, and two steely arms wrapped around my waist. He spun us around and nibbled on my neck as I laughed.

When he finally stopped, I was breathless, dizzy, and clinging to him.

“Soon,” he whispered in my ear. Then he caught it between his teeth in a gentle bite before releasing me and grabbing the cookbook.

Breathlessly, I watched him page through the recipes, looking at the images. He and Turik might have given me a home, but they’d also made one for themselves in my very soul. They owned me in ways that Nat had wanted to but never could. I craved their touch, their attention, their love. They consumed my thoughts and gave me a reason to exist. Their love for me was enough to keep me here forever, and I desperately wanted to show them that.

We worked together to prepare the meal again. My praise for a job well done—no matter how small—was a hand rubbed over the front of the pants and a kiss to the cheek.

Turik had trouble sitting when it was finally time to eat. Vorx wasn’t much better off, but his hot gaze and tight smirk promised retribution. I welcomed it with open arms because I knew what I’d find in his. Only pleasure. Never pain.

So, I used my foot to torment him as I ate. Turik chuckled, understanding what I was doing based on Vorx’s steady stare and hissed out breaths.

Halfway through my meal, I pushed my chair away from the table.

“Excuse me for a minute. I’ll be right back.” I set my hand on Vorx’s shoulder as I passed. “Eat while you can.”

Turik chuckled again, and as I walked away, I heard him say, “I told you our Shelby had fire buried inside of her.”

In my room, I hurriedly ditched the sweatshirt and sweatpants and changed into Vorx’s favorite outfit—the thong and see-through shirt.

“Dinner was delicious, but I think I’d like to save the rest of mine for later,” I said when I returned.

Both men stopped eating and watched me cross the room. I looked pointedly at Vorx.

“You didn’t eat enough. Taking care of each other goes both ways. I’m going to think you don’t have the strength to carry me if you don’t eat.”

He absently brought his fork to his mouth and ate the bite of meat on it. I doubted he tasted anything, though. His eyes tracked me as I walked to the fridge with my plate.

“Now, where did I see that cling wrap?” I asked, bending at the waist to look in a cabinet that I knew did not have any form of food wrap.

A chair scraped the floor behind me, and I grinned at the same time hands gripped my hips.

“Wait,” I said firmly.

His hands stayed on my hips, but he didn’t do anything more. I glanced over my shoulder at him then leaned farther to the side to see his almost untouched plate. Turik winked at me.

“You didn’t eat,” I said, looking at Vorx.

“I’m not hungry.”

“Well, that’s too bad. I guess Turik can have your serving of pussy for dessert.”

Turik roared with laughter.
