“Assuming I’m one of the five, and you’re living with Bash, the other three overbearing men wouldn’t happen to be Desmond, Ares, and Malcolm, would they?” Was he Sherlock fucking Holmes!? I was supposed to be in hiding, dead to the world. He must know Sebastian well if he could so easily guess who I lived with. Now he could tell anyone my location. There went my safety. The guys literally imploded my life for nothing.

“I’m not sure I trust you enough to answer that. You obviously aren’t telling me everything about yourself. How do you know the guys? Who knows who you work for, or why you keep finding me. You won’t even tell me what you are.”

“Diana, I swear, I will never betray you. I’m only here to help.” A crack and the shredding of fabric sounded through the air, and a pair of huge, feathered white wings with gray and black marbling sprung from his back. “Think of me as your guardian angel.”

I shouldn’t have been surprised. Of course, another supernatural, insta-model worthy stud was going to drop into my life. Four wasn’t enough, but five seemed like a completely reasonable number. I should have known, because Azazel was way too perfect looking to be a normal man. The unnatural colored eyes should have given it away, just like with Desmond, Ares, and Sebastian. Even Malcolm was handsome, despite his garbage attitude. His inner nastiness made him ugly to me, though.Wait, he never answered my question.

I heard his voice, and focused on trying to ground myself. “Diana? Hey, I think I lost you for a second there. Listen, we don’t have a lot of time left, if I remember correctly. Please don’t tell the guys about your meetings with me or your time-hopping ability. They may seem like your saviors now, but trust me, they’re dangerous. Do not trust them.” He plucked a beautiful lavender flower from the field and put it behind my ear, caressing the side of my face affectionately.

“Okay, for now I can keep it a secret. If you wanted me dead, you would have already told Satan I was alive. Or left me for dead in the woods.” He stroked my cheek with his thumb, locking eyes with me. Those big, honey orbs seemed so serious as they bore into me.

“My main goal is to keep you alive and help you become the woman you were meant to be. If you ever need me, go to a quiet, secluded place and close your eyes. Think of me. Concentrate on a time and place you want to meet, and I’ll be there.”

I tried to respond to him, thank him for looking out for me, but a pulling sensation passed through my body. One minute, he was there. The next, everything went black and the entire field disappeared. Dizziness washed over me, and I closed my eyes.

Opening them again, I found myself back in bed, with Ares nuzzled against my chest, my nipple in his mouth. I pulled it free, and moved down to nuzzle in his downy soft chest hair. Stress could do a lot of crazy things to someone’s psyche, but that was one hundred percent real. Zaz didn’t seem like a liar, and my gut told me he was trustworthy. But he said that the guys could hurt me. Aside from kidnapping me, I couldn’t imagine Sebastian or Ares harming me. Same for Desmond, because even thoughI’m not his type,he benefited from keeping me alive. Malcolm wasn’t strong enough to act on his own. It was pretty clear even from the little I knew of him that he was the bottom of the totem pole here. A pang of sorrow stabbed at my chest. Angie told me to trust my intuition during my reading. She probably never accounted for my intuition giving me mixed messages. Thinking of her made me sad, because I missed seeing her everyday. Eventually, I would complete this deal, and see her and Nonna again.

A hard cock dug into my stomach, waking me up the rest of the way like an annoying rooster.Cockadoodle-don’t. That whole trippy not-a-dream exhausted me, and I desperately wanted to fall back to sleep. An extra set of arms was wound around me, one hand resting on Ares’ forearm and the other on my boob. I’m not sure how, but I knew it was Sebastian. His presence invaded me, confronting my senses and leaving no room for second guesses. An earthy, floral scent tickled my nose. I reached up and found the lavender sprig that Azazel put behind my ear. Plucking it out, I hid it under my pillow.

Sebastian’s arms pulled me slightly away from Ares until we were flushed together, no space between us. “Good morning, Birdie.” His raspy morning voice alone made me wet, but I had to remind myself I was upset with him. And I didn’t invite him into my bed. He came into my room without permission and climbed right in. I would make it a point to ask Desmond how to make my own wards for my suite. It still blew my mind that I was staying in a house big enough to have little apartments in it for each individual, just like Downton Abbey or one of those fancy castles all over the UK.

“Good morning, Bash-a-Smash,” Ares yawned, reaching across me to mess Sebastian’s hair up. “Funny seeing you here, considering you weren’t invited.”

“I’m always invited wherever Diana is.She’s mine,” he growled.

“About that…” I said, narrowing my eyes at Bash. “It seems that everyone in this house isyours.Desmond and Ares told me that you all share each other. I hope you weren’t going to exclude me from that.” He tightened his hold on me as another growl ripped through his chest. I presumed it was directed at Ares because the shit-eating grin on his face was probably too much for Sebastian’s ego.

“Ares and I had a conversation, and I had some time to think about it,” Bash ran his fingers through my curls. “I’m okay with you being with anyone who lives under this roof, spare Olga of course. I think if we all stick to that rule, I could adjust to the idea of sharing you.”

Rolling onto my back, I turned my head and blinked at him a few times. Is he serious?“I would do it whether or not you were okay with it,Bash. You’re not my keeper, and if you haven’t noticed, I can’t leave the house because you all kidnapped me and faked my death. So I’m forced to follow that condition.”

Bash pinned my arms above my head and straddled me in one lightning fast movement. His weight pushed me into the bed, and I could feel his hard cock through his boxers. Those beautiful indigo horns shot out from his hairline as his eyes darkened, erasing his midnight blue irises. He was beautiful in his shifted form. Maybe I was messed up for being aroused by this instead of scared, but I couldn’t care less right now.

“I should take you over my knee and spank you for that. If you even think about fucking anyone else but us, you’ll regret it, Birdie. Do I need to show you what naughty girls get, again?” His deep voice vibrated throughout the room.

“Yes, Bash, show her what naughty girls get and let me watch. Maybe if she needs extra punishment I can join in.” Ares’ fingertips ghosted their way down my arm, flicking my nipple before he pulled his hand away.

“You gonna wake this naughty girl up with a knotty punishment fuck, Bash?” I asked with wry amusement, daring him to do it.My pussy is a glutton for dick. Now that I knew what punishments were, Iwantedthem. Maybe I could throw him some shade on purpose and get more.

“Hmmm, you’re a little brat, aren’t you?” He tightened his grip, leaning more of his weight on me as he dipped down to kiss my cheek. This was turning out to be quite the morning.

“She’s enjoying this,” Ares commented. “Her lust smells so good, like roses.”

“Maybe I’ll mercilessly tease you instead. I could bring you all the way to the edge, only to keep you from tipping over every time. Or I could fuck your face raw and give you no release afterward. Maybe Ares and I can worship every inch of your skin, but never the parts that truly matter. You’d feel like you were on fire from the build-up.” Damn, I loved it when he was evil. My lady garden was getting drenched already.

“We gotta put a pin in it for now,” Ares said. “Diana needs to be downstairs and ready for her first lesson in forty-five minutes. She still needs to shower, dress, and eat if she’s going to be ready for her first day of magic school!” His face beamed with pride and excitement.

Ares could be so caring and sweet, even though he had clearly dived off the deep end a long time ago. When I looked into his eyes, I could see the crazy bouncing around, ready to cause mayhem. That was part of why he turned me on so much, though. Getting a severed finger as a gift and being chased through the woods made my heart race, like I was living on the edge. He was so romantic and compassionate, too, and that made me feel cherished. I hoped he was serious about our date tomorrow.

Sebastian made me feel special too, but in a completely different way. His feelings for me surpassed obsession. He had watched me for months, visiting my dreams and stalking me while I was awake. He cared enough to get to know me. No man had ever found it necessary to understand me on that deep of a level. I craved his attention, his touch, and being the center of his universe felt good somehow, even though I was less than happy with him right now. The possessiveness and jealousy were annoying, butoh so hot. I would never admit it to him.

Bash unpinned me, and I sat up and stretched my arms above my head. On my way to the bathroom, I heard two low, resonant whistles. Turning back, I saw their wide smiles as they stared at my naked body.

“I hate to see you leave, but I love to watch you go,” Bash said. He bit his bottom lip and the hungry gaze he gave me was tempting.

“I’m taking a shower, alone. Do not follow me.” I walked away, snickering to myself about how corny Bash could be when he was in a good mood.

I checked to make sure all my new toiletries were in the shower. Climbing in, I let the almost scalding water run over me, hoping it would wash away my nerves about my lesson later today. Learning was a passion of mine, but I always envisioned myself at NYU Law or Columbia, not Professor Douchey Desmond’s Magic School for Latent Witches Who Were Bad Bitches. I knew nothing about magic, except my emotions made it go haywire. What if I couldn’t master my emotions enough to perform it properly?
