Ten minutes later. “You’re what?” she asked.
“A shifter.”
Nicole looked back and forth, and they both nodded.
“Are you telling me it was you … that you were the wolf in the forest?”
“Yes. We know it’s a lot to take in,” Roman said.
“Ya think?” Nicole said sarcastically.
“You’re going to have to show her,” Brenna said.
“You really want me to undress in front of Nicole?”
“No. I forgot about that. Can’t you put some old jeans and a t-shirt on? She won’t believe it unless she sees it with her own two eyes.”
He rolled his eyes and went to change.
Roman came back into the living room. Brenna sat by Nicole, holding her hand.
“Dammit, I feel like a freak,” he said, making Brenna laugh.
Within a second, he’d gone from a human to a wolf.
“Oh, my God,” Nicole screamed. “That is fucking amazing and terrifying at the same time.”
Brenna laughed.
His mate squeaked when he walked over to them, gently latched on to her arm, and pulled her off the sofa to lick and pin her again.
“Dammit, Roman, you have to stop doing that.”
He yipped and did it more. When he was satisfied, he backed off.
Brenna sat up and wiped her face off. “Was this about the dog comment?”
He growled because he’d forgotten that. She put her arms up when he came toward her again.
“No, Roman, stop.”
He sniffed, turned, and walked away, but came back a minute later dressed again. “You’ll pay later for the dog comment, mate.”
“I look forward to it,” she said.
“So, Brenna told me you’re the pack’s alpha?” Nicole said.
“Yes. It’s handed down to the oldest in my family and has been for centuries. When I’m ready to step down, Brenna’s and my firstborn son will be the alpha.”
He caught the soft look in Brenna’s eyes and smiled. “Yes, mate, we are going to have a lot of children.”
Brenna grinned. “As long as they’re not puppies.”
Roman growled. “That’s it,” he said, picking her up and throwing her over his shoulder. “We’ll be back in a bit, Nicole. Make yourself at home.”
Nicole laughed as he walked out of the room.
He had both of them stripped and on the bed before attacking her body, sending her into one orgasm after another.
