I chuckled. “And how the hell would sex even work? I mean, think about it.”

Tyler laughed. “It’s not impossible. More than one guy can please a woman at the same time, and if things get too crowded, any of the other dudes can back off for a while.”

“I can’t believe we’re even talking about this,” Marcus said. “I give it nearly one-hundred-percent odds that she runs screaming in the opposite direction when we bring this up. Might as well start looking for another nanny now.”

Mac had a strange smile on his face as the three of us went back and forth.

“Alright, big bro,” I said. “What’s on your mind?”

“Oh, nothing. Just something I noticed.”

“And what’s that?” Tyler asked.

“That with all the talk about this, not one of us dismissed the idea outright.”

The rest of us shared a look, no one saying a word. We knew he was right. Silence fell over us, no sound in the room but the crackling of the fire in the hearth.

“Well?” I asked. “Might as well come out and ask it… does anyone here have a problem with the idea of all of us being with her?”

I waited for any of the guys to say something. Surely, Marcus at least would have an issue.

Not one of them said a damn word.

“I kind of like it,” Tyler said. “We’re all into her, and if she feels the same way… what’s the problem?”

“Mac?” I asked.

“Mom and Dad always told us sharing was caring.”

My eyes flicked over to Marcus.

He only shrugged. “Seems cool. Aubrey’s a babe, why should she only have to stick to one of us?”

“And you, Adam?” Marcus asked. “What’re your thoughts?”

I laughed, unable to believe what was on my mind.

“It’s definitely unorthodox,” I said. “But the more I think about it… I’m into it. We’ve always done everything together, ever since we were kids. Why stop now?”

The conversation didn’t get a chance to continue. My phone buzzed once more.

I’m here.

Chapter 14

Aubrey

“Easy, dudes!”

The kids didn’t waste any time kicking off their boots and shucking off their jackets, hats and gloves.

“You guys know that you need to put those where they belong, right?”

They both looked at me, my tone serious enough for them to understand that I wasn’t messing around.

“OK…” Henry turned slowly, bending over and picking up his winter gear.

“Fine…” Hattie did the same, gathering her things and going over with Henry to hang them all up.
