Page 70 of Letting Go

“Fuck, yeah,” he said, keeping up the pace for her pleasure, and then he moved even faster. His eyes roamed from her face to her tits that shook with each shift of his hips, down her body to where they were connected.

“Fuck, you’re beautiful,” he said, before he sank in deep, stilled and came on a harsh growl.

He didn’t pull out right away, needed to mark the moment, how she looked all soft and sated. She smiled then teased, “I didn’t wear my dress.”

Cedar sat nextto him in the kitchen. His dogs were chowing down on kibble with chicken she’d grilled up. She’d pulled on his tee, and fuck, he liked her in it. The hem fell just below her ass, so when she moved, it road up and showed the curve of her cheeks. He was right; her ass was fucking perfection. Her hair was down around her shoulders, and her face was still flushed from their last round of fucking.

She’d made ribs, and damn, they were good even cold.

“You used your grill?” he asked.

“Yeah. I’m getting the hang of it.”

“Tastes like it.”

She’d been eyeing him since he pulled his cock out of her, insisted they eat and dragged her out of bed. He hadn’t intended to fuck her, but when he saw her earlier, the pain she carried was almost gone; he wanted them to have tonight because that pain was going to be back. And soon.

“You gonna tell me what I missed?” she asked, but her focus was on his chest.

“You keep looking at me like that we’re going for round four, right the fuck here.”

“Is this meant to discourage me?” she teased.

He almost swiped everything off the table, but under the teasing, she was worried.

He grabbed the back of her chair, dragged it closer and kissed her sassy mouth, getting her and the tang of the barbecue sauce.

“Talked to Sebastian. He’s been tracking poachers.”

Her face paled; he clenched his jaw because he didn’t like seeing the color he’d put on her cheeks fade. “He’s got rangers patrolling. You stay close to the house, yeah?”

“Yeah.” she said then asked, “What are they poaching?”

“Bear, cats, fuck, some poach rattlesnakes for their rattles.”

Color was returning, this time, from anger, but it was better than her looking pale. “That’s disgusting.”

He agreed, but didn’t need to say so. “Not sure who Sebastian was talking to but got an APB out on the truck.”

He studied her, was satisfied that she looked more pissed than scared. “Asshole.” She moved the conversation on when she said, “So it’s poachers who left those cigarettes.”

“Yeah.”

“It’s awful, but at least we know now what we’re dealing with.”

It was on his tongue to tell her about Brock, but he didn’t want to see the light dim. She, they, deserved one night.

She reached for her water, took a long sip. “So earlier…”

“You looked good enough to eat. So I did.”

Her cheeks were rosy again, her eyes bright with lust.

“In fact, this was good,” he said and stood. “But not filling enough.”

She laughed when he grabbed her and tossed her over his shoulder. He smacked her ass, then rubbed where he hit. She moaned. He dropped her on the bed and kicked the door closed behind them.
