Releasing it from my mouth, I lower my body so I’m flush against her chest. I nuzzle my face in her neck and grip one of her hips with my hand as I pump in and out of her. “Oh god… god... fuck… Hunter, I’m coming,” she cries out as I feel her clamping down on my cock, sending me over the edge into my own orgasm as streams of my cum shoot inside of her. The entire time I’m praying that I make her pregnant, wanting nothing more than to see her belly round with one of my pups.

As we ride out our orgasms, my dick still buried inside of her, I tell her over and over how much I love her. Never wanting her to doubt how I feel about her. “Shay, I know me and the guys haven’t talked to you about it, but how do you feel about having a mating ceremony with us? It's a tradition within our pack, but of course, you can say no, especially if it’s not something you want.” I push up on my arms so that I’m able to look down at her face as I ask her.

“What about the others?” It seems like a simple question, but it’s an issue we’ve never encountered in the past. We’re the first in our pack to have a fated mate bond with not only someone out of the pack but another supernatural species.

“Well, they’re your mates as well, so they’d be a part of it. Like we told you and the pack before, nothing is going to keep us apart; they can accept it or Ryder can break their bond to the pack and they are free to find a new one. Simple as that.”

She looks up at me, tears pooling in the corner of her eyes, and begins to speak with a tremble in her voice as her lips quiver. “There is nothing I want more in this world than to have a mating ceremony with all of you.” She reaches up, wrapping her arms around my neck, pulling me close as she kisses the side of my head.

We stay like that for a few minutes until she loosens her hold on me and I gently rise up. Pulling out of her, I stand up from the bed. “Going to get a wash rag to clean us up, I’ll be right back.” Moving towards her ensuite bathroom, I glance back over my shoulder and toss her a wink. “Now don’t go anywhere.” She erupts into a fit of giggles as she brings her hands up, covering her face.

God, I love this woman! I make a mental note to talk to the guys about the ceremony. I want to do it as soon as we handle this shit with Maverick’s father.

Shay

It’s been two days since I learned I could teleport and I’ve managed to make it from one point to another successfully. The first time I did it, I was scared the whole time I was going to reappear with body parts in the wrong place. Then when Tala had me try with one of the guys, I really thought we would end up with our body parts switching or us becoming intertwined into one being. It took her a whole hour of convincing and explaining how the process worked for me to finally relent and do it.

Maverick volunteered to be my test partner. No pressure on me, but thankfully it worked. We did it twenty times until I was positive I could do it with no issues, at least for a short distance. If worse comes to worst, it would be beneficial if I needed to move someone out of a dangerous situation, even if I wasn’t able to move them far.

All in all, I’m proud of myself. But Tala still feels I haven’t tapped into the full potential of my power. Beba’s stepping in today to help with my training. I’ve missed her. I’ve felt like there’s been a distance between the two of us since we’ve been rescued. Beba makes it to the room before Tala, so I take this as my opportunity to speak to her in private, hopefully with no interruptions.

“Beba, can we talk?” Her eyebrow raises as she looks at me curiously.

“Yeah, what’s up?”

“Umm… are we good? I mean, if you blame me for everything, I get it.”

“Whoa-whoa-whoa,” she stammers, “What in the world would I have to blame you for? Even if I did blame you for something, whatever it may be, I’d come and talk to you. We’re fucking best friends. Sisters.”

Her words bring comfort to me, giving me the encouragement I need to clear the air with everything that’s been weighing down on me.

“It’s just knowing how your parents basically put your life on hold because of me and this prophecy. Not to mention how they took your memories for a huge chunk of time. Maverick's dad taking you and the hell he placed you through. All of that was because of me. I’d hate me if I were you,” I rush out in one breath.

But she doesn’t respond right away. She just looks at me, before a smile gradually takes over her face. “Shay, I thought I’d told you I was fine. But, since you’re hardheaded, here we go again. So listen closely. I AM NOT MAD. What happened was the way it was supposed to be. And as far as my life being placed on hold, if it wasn’t, I’d never have known my best friend, my goddaughter. I’m sorry if I’ve been distant. I wanted to give you the time to come to grips with your magic and connect with your mates. Also, if you haven’t noticed, I have three attractive men who’ve been fawning all over me.”

Snorting at her words, I just shake my head. “Yeah, I guess you’re right, and I don’t see you pushing them away.”

“Yeah, I’d gone to Miles and Miguel the night we were taken to confess to them that I wanted them. And well, I’ve got to admit my attraction to Landry as well. Teach me how you handle all the testosterone because at times I feel like murdering them.”

“Well, it's a process is all I can tell you. The good and the bad, but I’d take them any day over not having them in my life. Can I ask a favor, Beba?’

“Of course, anything.”

“When this battle happens - and I know it’s soon, I have this gut feeling about it - will you promise to take care of Chelle? If it looks like it’s going south and we’re not going to win, promise me you’ll abandon the fight and take her and run.”

“With my life. Make no mistake, he’ll never get his hands on her. Those men of yours will never give him the chance, so we don’t even have to think more about the negative thoughts you’re entertaining.” Reaching her arms out wide, she wraps them around me and begins to rub her hands up and down my back as she soothes me.

“Good, you’re both here. Time to drop the sappy shit and get to work,” Tala barks out as she steps through the door, heading to the opposite of the room, and dropping her bag on the floor. “Today we’re going to work on switching between your two powers and using them together. So buckle up buttercup, it's going to be a long day.” I swear she laughs. She's amused at the agony awaiting me today.

Hit after hit, miss after miss, three hours later, I was finally able to successfully toss my fire magic at a target and hit it, as well as teleport both Beba and myself to another room. “Take that!” I shout out as I pump my fist into the air just like the kid did at the end of that one eighties movie, where they had detention on a Saturday. Beba just doubles over as she tries to stifle her laughter.

“Don’t get too cocky now. That's what’ll get you killed in the midst of the battle. But we’ve worked hard today, so go and rest.” Tala begins cleaning up her stuff as she dismisses me and Beba.

Linking her arm through mine, she leads me out of the room. “So have any new powers surfaced?” she asks as her head leans on mine.

“Nope, not yet. Honestly, I don’t know if I could handle having any more powers. Two already are so hard to control and grow. I’m nowhere near as skilled in using them as other magic wielders. My biggest fear is letting down everyone, especially with them putting themselves out there to protect me.”

“Let’s get something to eat and some snacks and go camp out in front of the television and watch our favorite movie.” She gives me a sly wink that I can’t help but love.
