“Jaysus feck,” Niall growls. I nod stiffly at him.

“Why burn her building down?” Seamus ponders. Another growl escapes me, though I don’t offer an explanation. Liam is staring at me and groans.

“What? He was scoping the place out and saw you go inside one night and not come out until morning?”

Got it in one. I offer a tight nod as Connor whistles.

“How long did he wait before burning it down?” he asks in a low, sickened voice.

“The next night.”

Connor pales, shaking his head.

“We need to find this bastard.” Seamus’s drumming cuts out as he grips his desk. “And I want extra security put on Oracle, all doors. Liam, ye get a photo of this Grant Clatham. I want him barred entry.”

Liam nods, shoving his hands in his pockets. I’ve no idea how he’s going to get that. He’ll probably sweet-talk his way into City Hall records for a driver’s license photo.

Now comes the fun part of the conversation.

“He’s been watching Fi,” I say slowly, drawing everyone’s attention back to me. “For a long while now, I’d say.”

“And so he has,” Seamus replies, frowning at me. I can see the cogs turning in his head, wondering where I’m going with this. “He will have seen her with the other lasses.”

There’s silence until everyone cops onto my meaning. A bone-chilling growl rumbles out of the Reaper.

“Where’s Mellie?” he asks, his voice lethal.

My eyes meet his. “My office. With Fiona.”

Niall nods stiffly. She won’t be in there for long. There’s a scrape as Connor stands abruptly, his chair tipping back, hitting the carpeted floor with a thud. His phone is already at his ear when he jerks around at Seamus’s words.

“Bring Andie and your mammy to Pa’s place,” Seamus tells him, his phone to his ear. “I’ll fill Pa in. We’ll get extra security and have a doc on standby if Andie goes into labor.”

Connor nods, disappearing out the door.

“Tommy!” Seamus barks down the phone. “Have Tiggy pack a suitcase and take her and Cillian to Pa’s house. No one in or out, understood?” Ending the call, he dials his Pa.

Across the room, Paddy is on the phone with Lauren, telling her to pack a suitcase for them both and make sure all the windows and doors are locked.

“I’m on my way to collect you,mo chroí,” he breathes down the line. Hanging up, his eyes snap to Niall. “I’ll collect Lauren and head straight to your condo,” he tells the Reaper, who nods sharply.

Paddy disappears out the door. Seamus is still on the phone with Sean Fitzpatrick, giving him a rundown of the situation. Beside me, Liam is fiddling with his phone.

“I’ll sort out this photo,” he mutters to me. “Then I’ll pack a bag and come to yours.”

I glance over at him as he shoves his phone in his pocket and shrugs.

“What?” he asks defensively. “Like I’d let anyone else be Fi’s bodyguard.”

I offer him a tight nod, not trusting myself to speak.

“Meet back here in three hours,” Seamus tells Niall and me. “Not you, Liam. You’ll be with Fi.”

Liam nods.

“Bring Paddy,” Seamus tells Niall. “I’ll bring Connor.”
